Great Cruise. Fantastic carnival staff as always. Spa rooms are of questionable extra value. New Serenity Decks are fabulous. Sportsquare is awesome. The ports of call are varied and entertaining.

Food in the Sunrise Dining Room was not as good as seated dinners have been in the past. Some meals were better than others but the overall quality was lower. In the buffet area: Pizza was perfect every time. Buffet food was typically tastier and better seasoned than seated dining room food.
Onboard Activities

Felt as though there were less activities available than on other Carnival cruises in the past. Love the sportsquare, arcade and all the activities available 24/7 up there. Would have purchased more photographs however it seems as though the prices just keep climbing! Understandably there are no sitting fees but at 21.99 per portrait, choosing multiple photos is quite limiting. Perhaps there can be package prices for people getting fewer photos, or lower prices for smaller portrait photos. We also were interested in getting JPG copies of photos as well but at 9.99 PLUS 21.99 per photo felt it was a rip off. Please make some amendments so that photo purchase is an attainable option in some respect for all!

Cant remember his name but the solo singer with the beard who plays the guitar in the lounge and the atrium was AMAZING! Could listen to him all night!

FANTASTIC STAFF AS USUAL. OUTSTANDING MEMBERS OF STAFF INCLUDED: (DINING ROOM WAIT STAFF): NYOMAN, I-MADE & I-DUA. PIZZA STATION STAFF MEMBER KIMAL. CABIN STEWARD AUGUSTINUS. JAVA BAR TEAM MEMBER ASYA WAS FANTASTIC, ALWAYS REMEMBERED MY NAME AND WAS VERY KIND WENT OUT OF HER WAY TO PLEASE US. PHOTOGRAPHER HARRY WAS FANTASTIC AND ALWAYS REMEMBERED US AND WE TOOK PHOTOS ONLY WITH HIM! MAIN DINING ROOM STAFF MEMBER ELDER WAS ALWAYS SMILING AND KIND. HAVANA BAR STAFF IN THE MORNINGS ALWAYS REMEMBERED US AND MADE PERFECT CAFE CON LECHE EVERYTIME! THE MENTALIST WAS HILARIOUS. THE SERENITY DECK CLEANING STAFF WAS AMAZING THEY CAME AND CLEANED CHAIRS, DRIED THEM AND SQUEEGEED WINDOWS TO ALLOW OUR MOVIE VIEWING TO BE THE BEST POSSIBLE AND THAT WAS APPRECIATED.

Cabin / Stateroom

Our cabin was clean and well kept by our steward. Access to the spa seemed to be nice but not worth the significant extra amount paid prior to cruising given a mere $239 could have been paid on board to get the same benefit. Also, was told prior to being on board we would be eligible for additional discounts on spa services and was told by spa staff on 2x occasions that there were no such additional discounts, making my extra expenditure on a spa room even less of a value. Because only 2 elevators access this floor, it made access limited during peak hours and during embarkation and disembarkation which can be a limitation.
Ship tip
Havana Bar is a great place to eat breakfast and lunch and for specialty coffee.
We are considering this cruise for the winter of '17. We were on the Sunshine for the Western Caribbean itinerary in January of '15 and really enjoyed the experience.
