While on our cruise we scheduled snorkeling in Belize.  Due to unfortunate rough water the experience was not as good as we wish it would be.  It would have been better for us to not have gone and experience a trip to Belize City instead.  Which was one of the things we wanted to experience but did not have enough time to go to town and walk after our snorkeling.  The food could have been tastier but overall it was healthy.  The waiters, staff and cabin boy were so nice it made up for the lack of seeing Belize (almost).

The Garden tour we took was wonderful.

If you go for the people, Carnival has great people working for it.  Unfortunately they are stretching them extremely thin.  The food quality has continued its drop into the cafeteria fare zone.  Latest cut back was the bread at the dining rooms.  No hard rolls and just two selections of soft rolls.  Ports of call were good, but personally I would drop the Bahamas totally.  However the lady cab driver from Atlantis to the pier was fantastic, very exciting and I was tempted to pay her for another go around.  Best port was definitely Puerto Rico, so much to do I could spend 4 days here and still have more to do. Entertainment was good to fair, comedians good and singer dancers fair.  Personally I feel the singing and dancing numbers are dated and I am sure the lines could find better acts to fill the time.  So all in all I guess you get what you pay for, and Carnival is definitely the cheapest way to go..

Very nice cruise, had fun -- the food was all very very good and the ship was very clean. Have always had great experiences on Carnival -- I have probably cruised with Carnival about six times.

Ship and it's crew were amazing. Only suggestion I have is they should do a better job reaching out to guests when excursions are cancelled. Leaving a note at someone's cabin one hour prior to getting off ship saying your excursion is canceled with only a list of other excursions that are also canceled or already full to pick from is unacceptable. I don't blame the ship for the weather and cancellation but there has to be communication between Carnival and their excursion vendors and in turn their guest.

We had a wonderful time. Your crew is outstanding.  I think the pools need to be much bigger.  There was no room to swim and I would have liked more variety in the entertainment.  The rooms were lovely and the

Food was horrible, Dinners were always cold. Not a smile from any member of the cruise. Had to wait for food in the black pearl for 1 1/2 hrs.  then got cold and uncooked food and ice cream melted. Food on the main decks was  not fit for a dog. Staff on ship could not smile or  say HI, like they didn't want to be they. i just wasted my money, will not sail again with Carnival ever

My sister and I had an awesome trip with Carnival, Splendor. The staff contributed to our fun and I would recommend this cruise to anyone.  the four stops were beautiful especially Paradise Island and Porta Rico. Want to go again with husband on the same ship and same stops. I would want the same steward and waiters tho, they made the trip so comfortable for us and they were so much fun.

We had a wonderful time on this cruise.  We have cruised Carnival several times and each time is a new experience.  The only problem we incurred was getting into one port late and missing our excursion.  Other than that it was a delightful time.

The overall rating is poor.  The food was pedestrian at best.  Prime rib was 3/8" thick.  Steaks were miniscule.  Portions were small.  The buffet was OK, but very crowded.  Only one specialty restaurant and that was an upcharge of $39.  The thought of an upcharge in the dining room of $20 for a steak is ridiculous.  The room, with balcony, was very small.  One of the smallest we have had on this, our 11th cruise, but first on Carnival.

The entertainment was stale.  Same folks nearly every night.  We missed an excursion reservation because the ship did not tell us that the port we were at was an hour ahead of the ship.  Embarkation procedures were much too long and the assistants in the Miami building were of little help.

We bought a drink package, but all bars used shot glasses; no free-pouring anywhere.  This may help the Carnival bottom line, but the drinks were skimpy and no doubles were allowed.

We will not be using Carnival in the future.

My favorite part about the cruise is the amazing staff !!!! Everyone was very helpful and super generous with wonderful customer service. Each day was unique with different food options and shoes. My family and I had a fabulous time on the splendor. Will definitely take another cruise with carnival again!

Crew, ship, food, entertainment all wonderful

I would cruise with Carnival anytime.  Just sorry the week goes so quickly

Food was beautifully presented and the staff were great.

Food tasted good and variety was lovely.

Room comfortable and staff kept it tidy at all times.

Ports very safe and lots of options - I've been to several ports 2 or 3 times and would always find more fun things to do.

Wish the movies were a bit more varied but  with so many people I expect other tastes.

Boat has been around but still has  a nice  layout. The time in Belize City did not allow for private exploration and traps you onto using  the ships excursions  due to  the long tender ride to shore 5 miles. The food at the buffet  was of poor quality lucky the dining room fare was  much  better and offered excellent service for breakfast and diner. It was not open for lunch at all  so if you have a free drink coupon enjoy a breakfast cocktail thanks for the free drink but breakfast?

Over all  a nice experience and  a good value.

Been on this cruise 3 times.  We dislike the Splendor of all the 8 Carnival ships we have been on.

It is the layout that we dislike he most.  We had a 8N cabin, aft balcony.  The noise from sliding deck chairs woke us up at 5:30 each am.  Deck chair hogs were in full force.  Disembark was a joke, took over 2 hours and we had #1.  People on both sides slammed their doors all day and night.

We did the Steakhouse the first night with 6 others and had too argue with them to get 4 bottles of wine.  The food was great every night except the Lobster in the MDR you could not eat.

Service and the rest of the cruise was great.

We will do this again, but not on the Splendor until it is upgraded.

All the Ports were great.  Did beach at each except Grand Caymen where you have to swim with Stingrays.

I traveled with 14 other family members. We had a great time. I have to say that our head waiter, Robert and his team are great! They are great with the kids and very helpful. Over all the staff is great, however some of them were not very friendly and did not smile. I have sailed on 3 different cruise lines and I can honestly say one of them has the greatest crew. I think some of these crew members either need a break or a refresher course in hospitality. Malcom did a great job with entertainment, we really enjoyed many of the activities. Embarking and disembarking was a breeze. Loved our family vacation and will have many memories and pictures!!!!!

having taken many cruises, I have certain expectations. I was surprised to see that there was not an amenity basket in the room and that I had to request an ice bucket. We celebrated our anniversary in the Pinnacle. I suppose you have never heard this before, the portions are too large. The food was great. The first port was changed due to a health emergency. I wish the media would stop being negative on cruises and applaud the wonderful care that is available for health issues among the passengers. We missed the booze cruise. Seems like some of the 'fun' has been taken out of the cruise. I am unsure of how table mates are selected, but ours seemed be by age. Although my husband and I are in our 60's, all our friends are in their 40's.  This cruise we only ate in the dining room twice. Our table mates were primarily nondrinkers and a mix of PTA and Wednesday night bible study. Nice people I am sure but not our type. I never heard any Reggae music. I liked it when it was played all day by the pool. The DJ was a poor substitute for a band. Despite the criticism, we enjoyed ourselves and will continue to cruise with Carnival.

while the cruise was wonderful and the service impeccable, we made a huge mistake of booking excursions thru Cruises Only.  We had very negative experiences and learned our lesson.  We will never book excursions through this company again.

I been to alot of cruise, this boat have been the best, the spa was two floor you can have done more than massage, my husband had done acupuncture and his pain went away it was wonderful trip love it.

It was fun for us. There are open buffet food and various activities in a ship. You may get bored in sea days but can find something to do or you can eat something. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Cozumel and grand cayman are better than other destinations. Costa maya is small city to find something but you can get sunbath. Staying times at destinations are a little bit limited. In sum, this cruise is good for eating, swimming and sunbathing. 

there was not enough entertainnent in the fun ship. one disc jokey to be in different area. after a while, people got tired of waiting. in term of cleanliness, the bathroom had a strong smell of urine. the food was ok and servers were nice. this was my 3rd trip on carnival and i would not recommend it to anyone.

Food was good for the most part..I think the last couple of days were leftovers reused. Can't prove just tastes like reheated food. Entertainment was. Ok. Seen better...mc's. Were not alll that entertaining in my opinion
