Review summary

Trip of a lifetime! Do yourself a favor and make it happen.

Embarkation

It was a little slow in comparison to my home port and luggage drop off was unorganized.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We had the best team ever in the MDR. Got to know each one personally and I hope to see them again. Food was great and the maitre’d was personable and fun. Great dining experience! For some reason, the Guy’s fries were not as usual. They were frozen cut, not fresh. They were seasoned well but was definitely a down grade.

Onboard Activities

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Not one broadway style (singing and dancing) show. No explanation was given why. They did bring in solo entertainers, juggling etc, but did not hold my interest.

Great location and room steward.

Ship tip

I can’t describe the beauty of Alaska and the pictures don’t do it justice. It is something you must see for yourself. The Spirit was an excellent ship to do this on with its heated pool and some closure over the lido. Excellent staff.

Would have liked more time (and sunlight) to explore this port. We weren’t allowed off ship until 9pm.

No facial recognition but they were fast. Didn’t wait long.
