Eat at Big Chicken! It is so good. If you are an early riser, there is never a line at 7am for breakfast options. Half off drink specials are in Red Frog Pub on embarkation day until 2pm!

Be prepared to navigate up and down floors in order to get forward and aft. Also, know ahead of time that traveling with young children will be difficult as there's not much to keep them entertained.

Get the drink package and don't buy extra water.

Don't get to excited about eating at the BBQ restaurant; Pig and Anchor. It was only open for three hours on the last day of the cruise.

Huge improvement vs. Victory but don't expect Vista-class level.

Almost everything is from a QR code menu, so if you don’t have a smart phone with a camera you will be handicapped reading menus, schedules, activities, and charges. Don’t forget to download “The Hub” Carnival app while in the USA, then switch to “airplane mode” and use the Carnival free Hub app via the ship’s WiFi. We have learned with Carnival to check each passenger’s folio daily for mistakes or mysterious charges. For example, I was charged twice for the pre-paid “Cheers” drink package. A Carnival rep caught this before we left home. You will often find dozens and dozens of confusing, vague charges for $0. Sure enough, despite pre-purchasing the “Cheers” booze package, there were several additional small bar charges for $1.12, $1.20, etc. We checked with the front desk and - SURPRISE - were told that all alcohol purchased in any port is subject to the local taxes, while alcohol purchased in international waters is not taxed. It would have been timesaving to be clearly told that tidbit up front or by the Bar wait staff. And watch out - all the Spa services include a MANDATORY 18.5% “gratuity.” Our $251 pre-paid couples massage actually cost $296.16.

Bring formal wear for the "Elegant" night. It was so fun to dress up for dinner and wander around the ship along with everyone else that was dressed up.

Enjoy it!!

For the dance and comedy clubs (Limelight Lounge) follow the sign in casino and take stairs down one floor. Also the ladies room door sign at the entrance of Limelight is obscured behind the trim it’s the first door to your left immediately as you walk in the entrance hallway. For the aft restaurant, the only way is from the aft elevator. Take it down from any floor that you have access to. We were on lido, so we walked all the way aft and down.

We did the responsible thing by staying in our cabin and getting tested. We were actually shocked when it came back positive. (Triple vaxxed, always masked and careful) Carnival was very professional about the whole thing and the nurse was amazing. I would just hope others get tested too if they are questioning feeling off while on board. I know it will cut your cruise short but keep others safe.

Expect the best in service, food and activities. You won't be disappointed.

If you take the bus into town it is $4, where they drop you off, you can buy a ticket to go to La Boufadora for $25. per person.

It was fun with a baby but I wish we had known he couldn't swim in the pools and covid regulations said he couldn't leave the ship unless on a tour.
