Bad Start, Worse End by kd1ai

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Miracle / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Life boat drill was terrible had to wait over an hour for about 20 familys that never did show up. Muster station D was all there but the would not start the drill. Disembarkation was worse we were told to assemble in the dining room when we were allowed to leave and walk up the outside deck behind everyone was leaving forward of us, Platinum meant nothing, in the terminal the security guard made us wait in the elevator line behind all the wheel chairs we only had a small carry bag. I will never Sail Tampa Again....

Enjoyable Caribbean Cruise by imm4jesus7

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Miracle / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Being our first cruise we did not know what to expect. We enjoyed everything, the food, the bartenders, the comedy club, casino, the jazz in the serenity deck. Tours were informative and fun. Can't wait to go again!

Loved the cruise. Great staff and enjoyed the itinerary. Didn't really see a benefit from booking with an agency.

disappointing by ttrtot

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Miracle / Destination: Caribbean - Western

the staff was great for the stateroom and for dining. however the ship was a strong disappointment due to its filthy state of being. the food was average and the main show was like watching a high school performance. however the comedies were great and the only good part of the entertainment. The anniversary and birthday celebration which were supposed to happen didn't only a couple of them were actually done and we had to tell the staff even though it was clearly marked on our itinerary. I would never use carnival again very frustrated with the experience.

Great excursions... Horrid food in Bacchus by EmptyNesters

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Miracle / Destination: Caribbean - Western

If you are looking for a quiet, do nothing on board ship cruise, this is the one for you....if you have healthy taste buds, plan on eating in the only speacialty restaurant for $38.00 per person and $75.00 per person for the chefs table. Word of advice...research the ship before you book....don’t just consider price.

Weather was wonderful and the cruise was very nice! by sandygirl1102

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Miracle / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Carnival did a great job of getting us off the ship but when we go to customs they opened the ADA line to people behind us getting off the ship and with only two agents clearing us it delayed the people that had the earlier flights due to using the ADA line as a regular line. Some people were in jeopardy of missing their flights. I understand it was a new line set up at customs but they need to know what they are doing before implementing something new.

Great first cruise for my two grandsons by carolz37

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Miracle / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The ship needs to be updated and I understand that is going to happen next year. That being said, it was perfectly suitable for our purposes - a first cruise and first time out of the county for my 10 and 12-year old grandsons, their mother and me. Food in the Bacchus dining room was excellent, as was the service from the staff. Food in the Lido buffet offered a good variety of okay food. Staff in this area was also excellent at keeping the area clean with so many people using it. Embarkation was tedious. Our appointment time was between 1130am and noon with only one group before us (not counting all the VIP and priority people). People were still getting off the ship at 1130am so nearly everyone ready to board had to wait until long after noon. Then only the Lido buffet had food for all 2600 people on board which caused very long lines and limited seating. Luggage didn't arrive at our cabin until well after 5pm and even then we finally retrieved it ourselves from the pile of luggage near the elevators. Once we got embarkation out of the way we had a pleasant cruise for the most part. Food in the Bacchus dining room was excellent, as was the service from all the staff. The "table entertainer" magician was amazing - he needs to be offered a show on stage in the theater! As usual on a cruise the food staff and cabin stewards were incredibly friendly, efficient and helpful. Once we had to deal with staff further up the pay scale we sometimes ran into crabby and even surly people. Surprisingly the guest services staff were sometimes the least pleasant. I realize they deal with people all day long but that's their job and, presumably, they are trained to deal with us customers. I did not book any shore excursions through the cruise line. Instead I relied on Trip Advisor reviews to choose my tours which cost less and were excellent in each case. Debarkation was a breeze. It's been a while since I cruise and I was pleasantly surprised to learn that we had the option to take our own luggage off the ship with us, which put us in the first group to leave the ship. The port of Tampa does not require cruise passengers to fill out customs forms, just to orally declare anything of note. This contributed to the ease of getting off the ship and on to the airport. We signed the 10 and 12 year old grandsons up for the kids' programs but they both lost interest in their respective programs after two or three days. The programs seemed too immature for the age groups. The 10 year old found a group of other kids and they hung around with each other and found their own entertainment.

Great cruise by sharonfrank56

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Miracle / Destination: Caribbean - Western

As I indicated the cruise was great but our travel agent left a lot to be desired. I purchased this cruise based on a bonus that was offered. Someone decided`that there was no bonus after the fact. The agent never called to let me know so maybe i could change my mind and get a refund nor did she return any of my numerous phone calls. A quality company would have given me the bonus since the purchase was made while the bonus was posted. Will not use this company again!

Very disappointed with Carnival's quality. Workers, except the officers, are extremely nice! by chanoitwaru

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Miracle / Destination: Caribbean - Western

I was very disappointed with the quality of service. The towels in the cabins are old and need to be thrown out, they are yellow and hard. Also, the quality and variety of food in the buffet is very poor. Hardly any fresh fruit, such as strawberries, kiwi. Melons are cheap which is what they served. Also, not forgetting the toilet tissue, you get bruised after wiping. Don't Carnival believe in better quality??? Very dissatisfied cruiser!

Very relaxing by liveandlove

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Miracle / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Felix II the waiter from Philippines went above and beyond for my 5 year old son. Tedy did as well. Tedy made my son a rabbit out of a napkin. Felix brought my son a chocolate milk every day even when he was eating upstairs with Camp Ocean. My son looked forward to “his guy” coming with his milk everyday. The camp ocean staff was very good with my special needs son! They let him move up into the other room because he did better in there and they let him play his video games longer because that’s what kept him happy. Miss snoopy and miss bumblebee we’re great. The lady from England was very good with my son.

A Fantastic Cruise on the Carnival Miracle by jollyobx

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Miracle / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Carnival Miracle was a great ship, plenty to do and plenty of staff to take good care of you. We booked excursions in several ports and loved them all. The booking process was very easy and was what we expected. We are planning to go on Carnival again in April. :) Loved Cruise Director Andy!

The following crew members were great: Samantha, Rudolph and Lubicia-Hostesses and Jere in Bachias dining, Also, the drink server who always rolled his tongue saying drrrriiinks made our dining experience wonderful each day. Our stateroom steward Milagres was a lifesaver.

Great Time Aboard Carnival Miracle by nysunshine25

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Miracle / Destination: Caribbean - Western

It was a great cruise, we had perfect weather and smooth sailing. Passengers on the ship were very nice, shows were good and the adult comdey nights were very funny. I like the casino, but I wish that they did not allow smoking, it is really disgusting.

Overall good by BuffyM

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Miracle / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Good overall! Favorites were Cozumel and Cayman. Casino was fun and activities are always fun. Liked that there were multiple pools and Serenity Deck for adults. Still hate the way the casino smells of cigarettes and you have to walk through the smoke constantly because the casino is right in the middle of things. It makes me want to not gamble. Loved Andy our cruise director and his sense of humor! The only real issue I had was the disembarkation. It was absolutely terrible. I’ve cruises Carnival five times now and have never had an experience like that one. They had us wait OUTSIDE, with the Florida sun beating down on us, for over an hour. They said there was congestion and apologized. But seriously? An hour?? Why couldn’t we just line up inside like we’ve done in every other cruise I’ve been on? Or at least have fans on the deck where people stand and water available. It was miserable. And the gentleman in front of us in line was in a wheelchair. He kept having to adjust his luggage and his chair with his luggage every time we moved. It was just terrible. But that was my only major complaint of the trip. So all in all it was fun and beautiful!
