Review summary

Good overall! Favorites were Cozumel and Cayman. Casino was fun and activities are always fun. Liked that there were multiple pools and Serenity Deck for adults. Still hate the way the casino smells of cigarettes and you have to walk through the smoke constantly because the casino is right in the middle of things. It makes me want to not gamble. Loved Andy our cruise director and his sense of humor! The only real issue I had was the disembarkation. It was absolutely terrible. I’ve cruises Carnival five times now and have never had an experience like that one. They had us wait OUTSIDE, with the Florida sun beating down on us, for over an hour. They said there was congestion and apologized. But seriously? An hour?? Why couldn’t we just line up inside like we’ve done in every other cruise I’ve been on? Or at least have fans on the deck where people stand and water available. It was miserable. And the gentleman in front of us in line was in a wheelchair. He kept having to adjust his luggage and his chair with his luggage every time we moved. It was just terrible. But that was my only major complaint of the trip. So all in all it was fun and beautiful!

Food and Dining

There was a good selection each day of different foods. The dining room food was hit or miss for what I was expecting. Drinks were good.

Service and Staff

Most were awesome! We loved Maria, And Pia the bartenders were so great and friendly! And the folks at Guest Services. The room stewards and restaurant servers on every single cruise have been amazing as well.

Ship Quality

I’m pretty picky and was totally fine with the boat. This is always one of my biggest concerns and I was completely fine.

Cabin / Stateroom

Cabin was clean and fine. However, we were told that we had a window which we did. But the window was almost completely covered by the life boat. Still it was nice to have a glimpse of the ocean from the room.

Ship tip

Please do not “reserve” the hammocks with your stuff. There are only four. And when people just leave their things in the hammock like they would a chair then many do not have the opportunity to use them. We were on a 7-day cruise and literally were unable to use them even once. 90% if the time there was no one in them - just their things. That’s just rude. were on

Ports of call

Tampa, Florida

Definitely not the prettiest port. And there was a smell there as well.

Cozumel, Mexico

Water was unbelievably beautiful! We did the electric bike excursion. My bike didn’t work sporadically and then would work again which was frustrating. They took us on 3!stops. The stop at the water was breathtaking but then you have to walk past this HUGE water reservoir thing that was filled with trash and trash all over the ground at the stop. The area should definitely be much better keep if Carnival wants their name associated with it. The resort afterward was nice!

Belize City, Belize

Mahogany Bay, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

I liked it more than expected. We did the zip lining tour and the guys there were awesome. The island has maintained a native feel. The man-made beach that’s carnival created was beautiful! The flowers and plants etc were just gorgeous.

George Town, Grand Cayman

This was our favorite stop. The island is so beautiful and 7 mile beach is breathtaking. White sand and blue water as far as you can see. The island is clean and has been built up just enough we thought. We just paid a local taxi to take us to a public beach and went jet skiiing. Be sure to bring a towel if you go to the public “free” beach because it costs money for the chairs. And the servers at Calico Jacks are definitely in island time! Just be prepared to slow down and chill.
