Review summary

Overall fantastic cruise with only a few minor set backs and disappointments.

Embarkation

This was one of the first sailing out of this port for Carnival and it showed. Line was about 90 minutes behind the check-in times. Longest chick-in time I've experienced so far.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
About 90% of all the food we had was very good. Which is a high mark for budget cruising. MDR was much better then average. And Guy's was a little below average.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
First few sea days were packed with stuff to do. The last 2 sea days had a lot less options on the Fun Times.

Cabin / Stateroom

Extended balcony with lots of space to move around and enjoy the ocean. Everything was in good shape and working.

Ship tip

Keep an eye out for afternoon tea in the MDR it was fantastic. Punchliner doesn't have any food so if you have back to back comedy shows bring some snacks.

Ports of call

Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), Alaska

2 out of 5
This is a small town with less then 200 people. Very little to see and do if you plan to self explore. Unless you have something booked you'll see everything this port has to offer in less then 90 minutes. If you're thinking about staying on board at one of your port days in Alaska I'd put this at the top of your list.

Cruise Tracy Arm Fjord, Alaska

Sadly due to the amount of sea ice we were only able to go about half way in. So we didn't get to see the big blue ice shelf. 😕

Victoria, British Columbia

3 out of 5
We were only in poet for 3 hours. This is not enough time to do much of anything. So this way not be the most fair review.

Juneau, Alaska

5 out of 5
Such a fantastic port with something for everyone. So many things to see and do. Once you leave you'll want to start planning your next visit.

San Francisco, California

5 out of 5
Lots of things to do and explore both free and paid options.

Skagway, Alaska

So much to see and do. And the White Pass Train is as amazing as everyone says it is. Can't wait to come back!

Was a lot faster then getting on the ship.
