We were blessed with beautiful days. Leaving under the Golden Gate was on my bucket list. The ports were great. I wholeheartedly recommend an Alaska cruse
Embarkation
4 out of 5
This being only the second cruise out of the Port of San Francisco for Carnival, there were bound to be a few hiccups. But hey, that was soon overcome with a bright and sunny day, departing underneath the Golden Gate Bridge, fog horn blowing. The Cruise Port is located below Coit Tower.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Plenty of choices and we ate at the buffet also tried Nick and Nora’s, Guy’s, Bonsai Sushi, Carnival Deli, and Pizza Pirate options. We didn’t go hungry. Loved morning omelets on the Lido.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
Enjoyed smoking cigars with fellow smokers on the Lido deck and gaming at Mr. Lucky’s Casino. The casino was very kind to us.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Always a friendly “Hello” or “Good Morning” from the crew and staff. Needed a helping hand with the internet and received it. Fun watching the crew stare at the Alaskan landscape. Most of them had never seen snow and ice.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
We have been on the Miracle five times. It is like an old friend. Every part of the ship was constantly cleaned and in shipshape condition.
Cabin / Stateroom

Though it was called a partially obstructed balcony, the top of the lifeboat was below the railing. Nice in every other way. Close to the forward elevator.
Ship tip
Bring a short cord power strip to charge multiple electrical gear. Don’t over pack.
Beautiful city. Another stunning day. Took a bus from the port to downtown. Driver was a combo comedian/ tour guide. Not enough time to do anything. This is why I gave Victoria 3 stars.
Another robin’s egg blue sky. No excursions. Juneau was having their “Maritime Days”. Lots of activities. Beautiful city. Get to walk about. Lots of stores, bars, and restaurants. The had canoe races and native dancing. Our favorite port of the trip.
