Family Cruise by bnreal

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Magic

To me, any cruise is what you make it. It's not going to be perfect. I spent 21 years in the military and I know how to adapt. Things that make other people mad and upset, really doesn't affect me. I'm just saying. I just thank God that I'm able to cruise. GOOD CRUISE.

Easy Caribbean Cruise leaving from Norfolk, Virginia by nanciecrespi

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Magic

I go on one or two cruises every year and am up to almost 50 by now. This was our first Carnival line cruise. We normally go on Holland America or Royal Carribean. We are an older couple. First of all, we were amazed that the food was excellent and the portions at dinner were larger than we got on our other cruises. They even gave us steak and lobster for no extra charge. The balcony cabins on Carnival are larger than on other cruise ships, and that has been a known fact for years. It was less expensive for us to take a Carnival cruise than other cruise lines. Usually, we get a suite for the two of us on Holland America. This time there were no suites available, so we got two adjoining balcony cabins, which was perfect, as we left the door between them open and had the two rooms which provided us with our own bathrooms and space to be in the cabins without overcrowding. We had four days at sea, so having large cabins was helpful. I recommend to always take Meclizine with you as we had hurricanes both going down and returning from the Caribbean and the seas had 9-foot swells. As an older couple we did fine. Make sure to take some formal wear for two dressy nights, as people really did dress in their finery with sequins and all. The pandemic is over and people are back to bringing their formal clothes as they want the freedom to express themselves, dress up again, be seen, and party. There was also a 70's dress up night and dance on deck and, thank goodness, I had a 70's outfit with me as nobody told me to prepare ahead of time. Other cruisers seemed to know and really dressed up in costumes. Our three ports were wonderful experiences and we were never bored as we have been at some of our ports in the past on cruises. During this time of high inflation and costs, it is nice to sail on Carnival Cruise Line, which has less expensive rates. It was also nice to be able to drive to the port rather than having to spend the money to fly.

Rocky, but fun cruise on the Carnival Magic by Zapeedo

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Magic

We love Carnival and fully believe that a cruise is by far the best value for a vacation. Food is great for us, service is outstanding, and who wouldn’t want to be somewhere that is 85 degrees and sunny when back home it is -20. :-)

Had a good time. This was our 12th cruise with Carnival and never had a issue but this time there was a issue with the room steward and a issue in the dining room. We love Carnival and are booked on the Magic again in September. by tcarver325

First Cruise without the Kids by carlsob27

My wife and I decided to go on a cruise just us. When we were married we really didn’t have money for a honeymoon so 17 years later we finally had one, we’ll worth the wait. We had a great time.

Embarkment was very efficient and quick (best in 8 cruises). Dinning room staff were professional and made sure we had a great experience and still made the late shows.

traveled with a friend that hasn't sailed on carnival in about 15 years and has sailed rcl 4-5 times... she told me, she's never going back to rcl. to say she had a great time is an understatement and she already booked us on another one for April

Cruise life by tbleung777

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Magic

We had a group of 15 people and all had a good time. I was very disappointed about the reroute due to tropical storm but understood the safety aspect. It would have been nice if they had offered some credit or other incentives due to reroute. I was also unhappy with the prices they charged for photos. In a previous cruise on Carnival we were able to buy the digital package and get all our pics but this cruise did not offer that. They had a digital package for an absurd amount and it did not include all your photos, you had to pick an X number of photos.

A new experience with a Fantastic Ship & Excursions by paNmaBowers

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Magic

This was a last minute trip to take my family member on that never cruised before. And with all the fun & excitement we had with our past cruises I decided to pick Carnival so she could have the best experience. I was so excited to see the impressions on her face when she encountered all that the Carnival Magic had to offer. The only thing that really changed was the food. I might have talked it up to much or because of all the changes Covid made to this world it just wasn’t as good as it was in the past. But we had a great time and an experience we will cherish forever. Thank you Carnival Team!

Carnival Magic by lions69

I love the atmosphere of Carnival and bounce between Carnival and Royal - I always feel refreshed after Carnival, just a more relaxing atmosphere- just wish their casinos weren't as tight as Royal, always better luck on Royal than Carnival

Another wonderful cruise on the Carnival Magic by Ramsey1986

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Magic

I guess “brief overview” is the key here. We again thoroughly enjoyed our first repeat cruise on the Carnival Magic to our three favorite ports. The entire crew was always polite, friendly, fun and helpful in spoiling us during the entire cruise. The Cruise Director, Louis, was the best that we have experienced so far. We are getting older so the only possible “negative” we experienced was being very tired after having so much fun but that made it a little easier to return home to rest up before we start planning our next cruise. Cruising is great for us and I hope everyone can enjoy their cruise or vacation experience just as much or more. 😎🚢☀️🩴🏝🪸🐠🌺🙏🏻. Thankful and blessed and expecting the best because the best is yet to come.

Carnival Magic to Bermuda by Need2CruiseSoon

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Magic

The Carnival Magic is a fantastic ship. Never felt the ship was over crowded. Never felt the wait was to long for the dining room. Plenty of food options. Some of the best food I’ve had while cruising post Covid. Bermuda is a bucket list destination for some reason it wouldn’t pop up to let me review it. So much to do in Bermuda. Very safe and the locals are some of the friendliest people I’ve ever met. Oh yeah since everyone likes to announce when they get sick on a cruise now. Neither my wife or I got sick. Nor did the 7 other people we knew on the cruise.

Thanksgiving Family Cruise by 1Spursfan

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group

This was an amazing Thanksgiving cruise for my family. We ranged from 4 years old to 64 years young and fun was had by all. There was no cooking and cleaning this year! The staff was great, the itinerary was amazing and most importantly the hot sunny weather was our best friend!
