Great overall by Themixedone86

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Magic

Over all the cruise was great. Bimini was absolutely amazing. Amber cove was good we didn't do much there. The club area looked like fun but we didn't end up going in. Deck 5 is the deck you can walk to the front of the ship.

Boat was great, guesstimating about 50% capacity. Service was awesome onboard. Don't bother with Nassau unless you want to see a run down boarded up version of Tijuana. Half Moon Cay was beautiful with good snorkeling right there in the swimming area. by captvid1

I would and probably will take this cruise again. Stay on the boat in Nassau unless you have a specific outing you have scheduled or just want a cold Kalik while you're in the Bahamas. Half Moon Cay is beautiful and well worth the effort. Snorkeling was fun and we saw many fish.

The wait staff in the Main Dining Room was excellent!! Zyrexs, John and Richard saw to our every need. Even brought me extra anchovies for my Ceasar salad. by 1passunion1

1st Cruise but not the last by FirstCruiserFL

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Magic

Overall, it was a great experience. It’s been 3 days and I am still waiting for my land legs. That been said I do recommend doing a 4 day cruise for the first timers. Was nervous about the sea sickness but thank god had no issues. Lionel jewelry activity will get you pumped up to buy something from Nassu (we purchased diamond earrings). Eat and drink back at the ship no point in wasting money on stops unless you find something you have to try :)

Family Fun time by lrivera90660

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Magic

At Nassau we did the Family Day at Blue Lagoon. It was fun, but the food (hamburgers & Hot Dogs) was not satisfying. I wish they offered more authentic/ cultural island food. At Half Moon Cay we did the Stingray excursion and that was lots of fun. But the best part was just lounging in the water. The waters are crystal clear and just Brian’s refreshing. The buffet was a big disappointment

Great cruise! by drheggem

I was impressed with how well mask wearing was handled, less so on seeming disregard for handwashing.

Glad To Be Back by hnewsh79

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)

I love cruising and this time was no different. In spite of not paying attention to what our room was below, and a few misses, like the buffet and cruise director...I would get back on her tomorrow.

1st Time on Carnival! by 4ShipsNGiggles

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Magic

This was our first Carnival cruise, and we enjoyed it. I do not think we would have enjoyed it at full capacity as it felt “full” at just 60%. The food was very good. The activities and shows were ok. The bed was more comfy than those we have had on other ships. All in all! Happy!

Carnival Magic our of Port Canaveral by Kimm00VA

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Magic

Port Canaveral was a breeze. Easy on and easy off. Ship stayed very cleaned and you could not have asked for better Covid protocols. The crew stayed on top of things with cleaning and sanitizing. The captain was very hard to understand.

Best escape in awhile! by Tampacruiser73

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Magic

This cruise was a much needed break. The crew was amazing. Our first Port was messed up due to the port authorities not letting us off at first and then allowing some passengers off. The passengers that were allowed to disembark at Amber Cove were not permitted to go to the beach and were subject to random "Covid breath tests" which I never knew was a thing. I stayed on the ship for both ports. The feedback on Amber Cove was they were hustled into the port gift shops. Bimini feedback was nothing open, nothing to do. Keep in mind this was not Carnivals fault. When the Amber Cove debarkation was delayed by several hours, crew were pulled back to work from their rest time to entertain us. Jose at Red Frog Pub was amazing. The whole crew really gave their all to make the passengers happy. I had a wonderful cruise despite the hiccups. I'd highly recommend the Magic.

Is it magical? by Liono2020

Less crowded experience I believe this is the best time to go. Everyone has to get tested before they can get on the ship.

Bahamas Cruise by mmunhall

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Magic / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

We had an issue We’d evening leaving Bimini. We were suppose to leave port at 4:30 but didn’t leave until 10:30, with the weather being the reason. With that said, the weather was the same at 10:30 as it was at 4:30. The cruise director, in my opinion didn’t keep the cruise guests informed. We were waiting with other guests for the gift store to open, it was now 7:30, when a cruise employee came to the store and only when asked, did he offer that we wouldn’t be leaving until 10:30 and the stores and casinos would remain closed. I do not know if the casino opened, but the stores were not opened at all leaving people stuck to get souvenirs. The communication was pretty much non existent on this point. Extremely disappointing!

Great cruise experience. Looking forward to future opportunities with Carnival. by richardaweekley

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Magic / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Cruise and cabin were excellent. Bimini was a bit of a disappointment. Other than the beach there is no real reason to go there. Nassau is still trying to recover from COVID therefore the shopping was limited. People were pleasant and ship’s staff was excellent.

Uneventful Anada little boring. by purgold

Food needs vast improvement and entertainment should be geared for most passengers but it seemed geared to older people.
