Review summary

This is a wonderful cruise for all ages. If you would like to see beautiful landscape and animals up close and personal without a cage or fence, then this is the cruise for you. Anyone who enjoys the outdoors, wildlife photography etc. it's a must-do. I highly recommend the Alaska cruise. If I get another chance, I will go again.

Embarkation

The embarkation was quick and we didn't have to wait in a long line. Requested wheelchair assistance for my husband and was on the ship in a timely matter.

We did the boat whale watching tour. And we got to see at least six whales ,we were lucky enough to seen one whale "bubble". That is when they jump out of the water to stir up the fish to feed on. It was a great excursion. During our excursion the crew members offered us hot chocolate and bagels with salmon spread. " Yummy".

Skagway, Alaska

Loved the excursion and quaint town of Skagway. Our helicopter tour to walk on Meade Glacier was awesome, I'm so glad that we did this excursion. Our pilot, Brian was also our tour guide on the glacier he was very informative and we could tell that he loves his homeland, the environment and his job. He believes in preserving our beautiful land for future generations. Nothing will ever top this experience, it was life changing. Do this excursion if you can.

Ketchikan, Alaska

We took a van tour of Ketchikan. Our tour guide name was Mike he told us about the history and natives of Ketchikan and the history of the totem poles. We were able to see salmons swimming upstream, several nest of bald eagles with their babies. We even got lucky and saw three Orca whales on our way back to the ship. Of course we had to stop and get some amazing pictures. Thanks Mike !!

Beautiful city but not enough time to see much. Too late to see or do anything in this port, just enough time to pick up some souvenirs. Why would Carnival even stop at this port? Please, dock earlier and add more time. Our ship docked at 7:30pm to 11:30pm.

Disembarkation

We enjoyed our last breakfast onboard the ship and disembarked with the last group. No long lines or wait. Found our luggage and proceeded to our bus transfer to the airport. Easy.
