Carnival Glory is not glorious! by JoanH1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

Shipped was packed . Food was way below acceptable standards with the exception of the Steakhouse @ $35 per person, Showroom entertainment didn't entertain. Cruise was a BIG disappointment.

A fantastic Cruise by EverettB1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

pros a very beautiful ship. the food was 2nd to none. This was my first time on Carnival Glory. Im 78 years young, and I've been on a lot of cruises, but I've never meet a friendlier staff. Everyone could not do enough for you. That includes housekeeping, waitstaff, room service everyone. I had 3 occasions to use your wheel chairs and the person that push me were the greatest. The last young lady that took me off the ship made a great impressions on my wife. To all I just say thank you and if I'm able physically to take another cruise it will be Glory.

7 Night Canada/New England (Ne by PatriciaD8

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

The \"Glory\" was okay not great, but I wasn't expecting a lot after reading some of the reviews- but I felt that the organization on the this cruise was lacking. To many lines and to much waiting on lines and no much yelling of directions. I felt that the staff was not enthused about this cruise they just seem like they were going through the motions.

A TERRIBLE START by WilliamM19

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

Too large a ship; we prefer smaller ships. Entertainment on other ships more to our liking. Wine steward never returned to see if we wanted more to drink, ditto water server. Some meals were excellent , but other not real great. One day breakfast took 1 hour and 20 minutes, inadequate servers.

not thr best we have gone on--- by SandraSpruit

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

i thought the ship was very clean and well decortated--i didnt like format---too much walking for my husband who has problems with ankle---very confusing always making the wrong turn and taking time to go to another floor-i didnt see the entertainment aound the ship==only saw the action in the casino---not alot of thingd going on -prime time---it wasdnt real organized--loved the captains happy hour and appetizers--that was exceptional and a surprise---but very informal--ttoo informal for us--also the dinners were too relaxed--they took my bottle owine and i thought we each could take one---so that was not great--dinks were very pricey-for the ship-

Terrific itinerary by SteveS4

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

Our cabin was great. In fact so good that we spent much more time in the room than in the public spaces. The food was very good, especially the Indian vegetarian options on the menu every day. Unfortunately our waiter was very bad. He never introduced himself, was arrogant and condescending. The itinerary was fantastic, to Boston, Portland, St John and Halifax. Ship size is very easy to manage.

Carnival Glory to Canada by JoanR5

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

The cruise itself was fine, the ports were okay, but the tours were inadequate for time and sightseeing. There was not enough time and the drop offs were far away from some of the sights. Had I known that the Glory would be in dry dock two weeks later I would have taken a different Carnival ship; which means that the Glory had to have an update. Note: Your bathroom tub entry was so high that I had difficulty getting in and out (I also had a knee replacement and that made it even harder). There was no shower in the bathroom, which I could have used. Also, in the bathtub you use a GLASS soap dish. What if it broke and someone stepped on the glass in the bathrub. Also, your handicap handles are smooth. When your hands are soapy they slide, not GRIP and that is a dnagerous situation. The food was really bad, not the kind of quality from Carnival that I have experienced in the past.

Good Cruise of History by GeriM38632161

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

Ship was OK, but a bit difficult to get familiar with and learn your way around. Especially more difficult when they partitioned off various levels on the two \"formal dining\" nights.

Just returned by PatriciaS15

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

We just returned from this 7 day cruise 2 days ago. Having been on other Carnival Ships, this one was one of the most beautiful I must say. My sister and I opted for \"cheap\" by getting a first floor inside cabin. We really wanted to spend our money in the ports. Was pleasantly surprised! I thought that being \"in the belly of the whale\" would be uncomfortable or alot of engine noise. NOT at all! The stateroom was roomy and the service staff treated us as if we were in a Suite. Was lovely and I didn't feel cheated at all by going for a lower deck than I have ever had. Do not hesitate, if you want to save a buck to go lower. You will not be disappointed in the least.

Enjoyed the cruise by BettyB9

This ship the Carnival is too old. Beds could be a little more comfortable. I should have checked the year the Carnival Glory was built.

Carnival Glory Cruise by TomM14

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

We wanted the early dining dining but it was unavailable (we didn't enjoy the 815 seating and eating at 9pm) The ship seemed overcrowed. Entertainment wasn't that great. The cruise director was excellent but seemed to be understaffed.

An average cruise by StaceyY

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

This was an older ship, with a confusing layout in which many parts of the ship were difficult to get to. The interior state rooms were a descent size, and the 3 outdoor pool and hot tub areas were nice. The ship could use a decor update and slighlty larger bathrooms. There were too many bars on board. All areas of the ship were kept very clean however.

NoDisappointed by SheronS

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

A disappointed expectation. I am originally from the Caribbean and did not appreciate the food served which was not the only disappointment for me. Many of the activities I did not attend because I did not like them. I cruised on a previous Carnival ship and it was a real splendor thats why I returned. Right now I have resigned from Carnival cruises. I felt that my time and spending on that vacation was a total loss.
