Family cruise by jueisacruiser

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We had a fabuluous time. Service was excellent, staff friendly and food delicious. I did miss my avacados and mangoes other than that you couldn't have wanted more. Rooms were always clean. The towel art is lovely and welcoming after dinner. Can we have a non smoking cruise?

Perfect Vacation by Cruisersandmore

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We had the perfect vacation on this cruise. The ship and crew were very friendly and courteous. The excursions were the best. All of our excursions were longer in length, more personalized and less expensive.  The only drawback was not getting to go into Roatan, for the second time, due to weather conditions. We did have an excursion scheduled for Roatan that had to be canceled. After arriving home, I called for a refund of that excursion and was very surprised that it was so easy to make that transaction.    The personnel was very friendly and professional.    I will book future cruises on Cruises Only.

Nothing Great....... by CarribeanKrow

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Processing  to get on and off the boat was fast and efficient. The food in the dining room was horrible. The steak house was the best meal on the ship (highly recommend). Whole experience was nothing to write home about. Ship was clean. staff were great ,except those photo people. Why do they setup were everyone has to pass by them every night on the way to dinner. I can only get so many pictures taken before I feel like taking a bat and knocking them out. It is the biggest pain on the ship. My suggestion is setup on the photo deck and if I want a picture taken I will come see you. You dont have to ask me every ten feet if I want my photo taken. The two stars come from bad food in the dining hall and those dam photo people.

My first cruise ever! by ChristopherDoc

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

I would recommend this cruise on the carnival Glory to who ever decides to go on a cruise or are just thinking about it, they were the most friendliest people i ever met and the price was reasonable too! There was something to do 24/7 and the food was outstanding. I loved the fact that it was family oreinted. I would do this again in a heart beat.

I lost my virginity by Tntvlr

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

(Virginity for cruising that is). My only experience of cruising was limited to The Big Red Boat by Disney 20 years ago.  We returned full of exhaust emulsions and full of cruising.

This was on my bucket list to try again, and boy am I glad I did.  The 7 night cruise aboard Carnival Glory was a wonderful experience.  I boarded with the expectation that I would be bored to madness.  Boy, was I wrong.  Everyday was a new adventure, new people to meet, new culinary treats and new findings on board.  You don't have to worry about being alone, being to heavy, old or young.  You don't have to worry about anything unless you just want to.  I was a little hesitant about going with Carnival with their recent bad luck, but I was genuinely impressed with the cleanliness, the staff and the options on board.

i went by myself so when I didn't care for jewelry and tourist shopping on the stops, I returned to the ship and enjoyed its amenities.  The islands and waters were beautiful, but the ship itself was my attraction.  I live on the beach so while I appreciate the beach, I'm not compelled to partake and again, back to the wonderful ship.

The evening entertainment, movies and skies were an added bonus.  The singing announcements were a little annoying that need to be toned down a bit, but that's a small distraction.  As simple as it may be, do not miss Guys Burgers.  It's the best one I've ever eaten, bar none.  Good job Carnival Glory.  You made a repeat customer out of me.  I want to try another one NOW!

carnival glory western caribbean by ednmarla

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We enjoyed the cruise very much. Carnival staff was always very nice and helpfull. We would like to have the weather a little warmer but no one can control that. It did seem to us that is was always quite cold inside the ship. We always needed a jacket or sweater with us if we were inside.

Never Again--(Unless Someone Else Is Paying) by acestacy

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

This was my fourth Carnival cruise and did not meet my expectations based on previous cruises.  The most disappointing element was the "American Table" experiment, which I regard as another effort to cut costs (by limiting menu selections and linen/laundry expense).  I have no beef with the level of customer service and staffing overall, but it appears rather blatantly obvious that all Carnival management is interested in is their bottom line, which shows little regard for guest satisfaction.  I'm also upset I didn't receive notice of the "Welcome Back" party--I'm not even sure they still offer that pleasant little amenity.

Overall Rating of cruise by KL47oscar

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Excellent service and friendliness by all crew hands. Nina  our stewardess at the diner table was five star in every aspect of her duties every night serving our table.  The food was excellent. The casino entertainment and service was great.  The main entertainment at night was very fair.Need more flair with better themes. The weater was't good for half the cruise but you helped us to make the best of it and kept overall safty in mind . Great time and Great work.

Staff are wonderful by Luv2cruise2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

This is our10th cruise and 6th time on Carnival.  I took my daughters who are 9 and 10

my daughters hardly went into the camp only once and when I mentioned hoping back my 9 year old said "mommy please don't shove us off at that place" needless to say they weren't interested in any of the activities they had planned and didn't go back.  The staff were wonderful as always.  The are revamping the dining room service and style and there are some pros and cons to that.  First if I order the same appitizer or dessert as someone else at my table, it could come out family style, not sure id like that if I were sitting Atari table with strangers. Secondly, you have to order the sides seperately now and our waiter often forgot things, perhaps this will get better as they get more practice with the new style.  We didn't pay for any excursions this time.  Bahamas, we were there last year and paid for the Atlantis your and aquariums, what a rip off, they need to use some of the ridiculious money they are charging people to revamp the place, your better off keeping your money and getting a massage on the ship during that port!!  San Juan we had an awesome time, no need to pay for a tour, take the free tram around the island and explore to your hearts delight, we really had fun here.   St Thomas, book an excursion or tour here, we went to the beach it was beautiful and we got to tour the island on our way to the beach.   Grand Turk, we had a blast here, it's a big beach, right when u get off the ship the beach is right there, plenty of chairs for everyone, we spent a couple hours there and then went to margaritaville for lunch, it would have been easy to hop back on the ship for lunch, we even discussed my husband going on board and grabbing sandwiches, that's how close you are. But since we wanted something different we went to margaritaville and I'm so glad we did.  leave time to go enjoy here, they have a beautiful huge pool with a bar in the water, you could relax in a beach chair here for hours!

All in all I'd choose carnival again if I were trying to keep costs down, because there were 12 of us we needed to keep in mind costs.  If money weren't an issue I'd go with a cruise line that had more activities the kids would enjoy, zip lines, water slides, ice skating etc. and multiple evening show options, rather than just the one or a comedy offered by carnival. but for the price or for first time cruisers Carnival is a great choice for sure!!

Good ! by Elcruiser

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Receiving  New Year (2014) in this Ship was a wonderful experience! I enjoyed my cruise very much. Having my dinner at my own time was great for us, but not for the employees in the restaurant. The service was very poor because they have people coming in at different time. I didn't have good experience in the restaurant. We had to wait for the food for long time. The last day I went to the restaurant I asked for a well done steak and I told them that be sure was well done. It came bloody. The brough me a second one worst than the first. I left the restaurant and didn't go any more. I decided to eat in the Lido instead. The cabin attendance was great. We had fun. I didn't like the service at the restaurant, but I had other options.

Carnival glory by Klausfamily

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

We thought the ship was clean. Staff was very good. We sailed a brand new ship last year so it was definitely a little older ship this time. That being said the housekeeping staff was superior. We found the dining room staff to be very friendly but nowhere near the service we received on dream. Only 2 pools and 1 is adult so that was a bummer. And the number of hottubs was slim. We would go new again if we cruised again.

Relaxing vacations for low cost by Monzangel

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Overall the cruise was great. I don't have major complaints but a few things that could be better. The service was excellent, the room was great but the entertainment was seriously lacking. It was geared towards kids and not appealing to a single crowd. Also the ports were not very exciting. They all looked the same with jewerly stores and cheesy sovenirs shop. My favorite port by far was Roatan which definitely had more of a cultural feel to it.

Unlikely to cruise again by CatCasey

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

In short, as I have already spent too much time writing to the travel agency and the cruise line, this is great if you are a 20-something who likes loud music and parties. We took the cruise to celebrate our anniversary and our birthdays. We wanted relaxation, sun, and pampering, We got hairy chest contests, loud music, obnoxious drunks, and rude customer service.

December cruise by diveconlou

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

This was the first time my wife and I took a cruise in the month of December, probably won't do it again, at least on Carnival. We did not realize that this time of year TONS of teens and kids went on these cruises, now don't get me wrong I don't really mind all the kids but there were a lot of teens that were drinking and VERY ROWDY!, across the hall from our cabin there was a group of teen guys drinking and raising heck untill 2:00 - 4:00 in the morning, security was called on them 3X's and nothing was done. They bothered nearly everyone in thjis section of the ship. Also, this cruise was the first ship in Carnival's fleet to experement with a new menu which for the most part did not go all that well. Now for the rest of the story, this was the 2nd time we've sailed on the Glory, and like the first, it was a very nice ship and a great time was had (except for the rowdy teens), all the stops were very nice. Overall, we had a good time, but no more cruises in December.

Glory cruise by Lauramcintosh

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The cruise went as I expected , nothing great , a normal cruise .good survice .until time to disembark ,As you know my Cousin and I were traveling together .Kathy forgot to tell her bank she was going out of the country so the credit card she used for her on board credit did not work on the Islands and not when we went to disembark. They stoped her and told her to go to coustmer service desk I attempted to explaine to the people at the disembardment that we were together and that she had no money and I was not sure she had another credit card. They were very rude and would not let me check and see if she needed my card they would not even check for me to see if she need help from me . they told me to stay away from the door and not to come bac in , I felt like the cruise was over they had our money they were not there to help us. I stood out side that door for 1 hour not knowing what had happen . not happy at all. laura McIntosh and they broke my new luggage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did not like the new dining experience. The was not enough menu choice.   The food was of poor quality.  Meats were extremely fatty and not tasty at all.  Not enough entertainment on board.  The entertainment left a lot to be desired.  The shows were not very good.  The music was canned, not live.

it was ok by Janusz

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

the ship was really nice , elegant and the cabins were big, food was tasty and fresh but servered on strange hours so you coud not always enjoy it. the service personel wes really nice but you were chain to one restaurant which got you sometimes waiting for an hour. not much information around so you really did not know where you were how to get to places on the ship and what is going on. the entertainment was lame, but the theater looked great. after 7 days I still did not know how the cruise director looks like.

pizza was good and you could call  home from the cabin which was cool. the organization when disbarking in caymans was horrible and art actions very boring.

Our experience on Carnival Glory by cruising8

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We didn't like the idea that we received an email a few days before the cruise about the change in the dining room. This was not a 4 to 5 star service as always provided.  We looked forward to the old dining room service that we were used to. We didn't like the idea that food & water were put on the table for sharing. It was serve yourself.  We like these things to be done by the dining room staff. We like having table clothes on the table every night which did not happen here. The quality of food was not good. The portions of food were smaller & fattier. If you want something different the waiter had to ask if this could be done.  Before, you were able to get your request. The table looked bare with the minimal silverware & dishes. The cabin we were in, 6205, was small for a handicap room.  You could barely turn a wheelchair around. The entertainment was not as good as it used to be.  There were only three night of very good entertainment.  The daily activities weren't as good as other Carnival ships. We've been on about 9 Carnival cruises. This cruise does not compare to any of the other Carnival cruises we've been on.
