We had a great time even with rough seas.  The Staff was excellent in all areas.   Henry,SanDrew and Teadore were great in the dining room.  Our staff for our stateroom were even better.  Great time with great service.  Thank you all for a great time.

Great experience by jpfrazer901

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The airport check in was very easy and there was no long lines to get onboard the ship. The staff was professional and friendly. The food in the dining room was very good and the service was excellent. There were several other dining options that were all excellent, especially the Taco Bar and Guy's Burgers. The Steak House was also excellent and reasonably priced. The Spa was very nice and included a steam room and dry sauna free of charge. There was a cigar Bar that was a very nice place to enjoy a cigar and cocktail after dinner.

7 Night Western Caribbean by tdesimone

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

7 nights on the Carnival Glory out of Miami. The ship was clean, the food good, and the island stops were great. Rented a jeep in Cozemel, went cave tubing in Belize, and explored Grand Caymen and Roatan. This is our eighth cruise with Carnival, and they handled everything Pre & Post cruise.

I would say the only downside was the after dinner entertainment. With the exception of one night with a magician and the adult comedy clubs, there was none. Very disappointed in that.

But we are planning more cruises with them and other lines in the future.

Too many smoking areas and meals at dinner were average by rmaproctor

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We had a great time but we would not recommend this cruise ship for the following reasons:

- Too many smoking areas

- Dinner meals were over cooked, buffets were awesome

- Chairs in the dinning room were all stained.   Very badly stained.

We would recommend the awesome service we received from .

Enjoyable week at sea, and great ports of call. by pagenor

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

This was a wonderful week, beautiful ship, great accommodations, terrific food, personable crew.  Be careful to check out the $500 On Board Credit.  We presumed that we were to get that on the cruise for which we signed up.  We did not.

Serves in dining room not too good.    I got the soda package and was disappointed it was can soda.    Food was good.  Room attendant was very good. Entertainment in show room not very good (music too loud, and other than the singers and dancers there really wasn't any good entertainment).

Perfect in every way by FerrisMagnuson

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

First off, I have to say that this was my first cruise, my wife's second.  We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary on the ship.  We are old (early 70's,) but still young.  Our 'cabin boy' was just perfect.  We asked for ice on our first day and there was ice in our room every day, all day, thereafter.  He cleaned our room 2 times a day.  There was a different 'towel animal' on our bed every night.  The food was excellent.  The staff was very friendly.  The wife was very happy, so I guess I did a good job booking this cruise; happy wife - happy life.  The ship was clean throughout.  Even though there were over 2K + people on board, there was seldom a waiting line and we never waited over 5 minutes.  Gambling - perfect.  Entertainment - perfect.  Food - perfect.  Getting on and off the ship - perfect.  We had a balcony room (1110) on the 11th floor - perfect.  Bring along binoculars for looking at other ships and land as they go by.  In Half Moon Cay, the stop was perfect;  great food and shops.  You depart from and return to the ship in PT boats.  Reminded me of my USMC days.  In Puerto Rico, I highly recommend a city tour and lunch in 'old town.'  In St. Thomas, we did the mountain top tour.  It was ok.  I would just go to the beach and enjoy the ocean.  To wrap this up, we are saving up for another Carnival trip to the Western Caribbean for our 51st.  Don't forget your camera.  You are in U.S. possessions, so all you need is your drivers licenses and birth certificate.

Less expensive but quality is sacraficed. by JudyMak

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

1st, the $25.00 cruise credit promised by Cruises Only never happened.

The cruise was a good one and about $200.00 less that one we took about 10 years ago but the cost is the quality.  The elegance and luxury are no longer there.  Our cabin person was awesome and just such a happy person, all of the crew were pleasant for the most part.  The service in the main dinning room was lacking.  Got wrong food, slow service and to get an adult beverage was almost impossible.

That being said, I must say for the price it is a great value.  Food for the most part was good but sometimes you had to search for an open buffet.  We will go again.

not a cruise to relax by kgp1a

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

it was like something was left at the pier when we embarked on our cruise. There were not people standing in line trying to book excursions. There were guards on the beaches it's left us with very discomforting feeling where you wouldn't want to close your eyes while you were laying out in the sand. Maybe that's just me but I just want things to happen but those things were not what I went looking for ..

Fun cruise, had a great time by jim184

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Went with another couple and we stayed near each other on the 8th level in a balcony room.  Room was small, but loaded with storage and very clean.  It was also close to everything being in the middle of the ship.  Our biggest complaint was the music played on the Lido deck.  We are not youngsters, but all the hip-hop music got kind of tiresome.  What ever happened to some Jimmy Buffet or even anything that sounds like the sun and sand?  The vast majority of the people up there were over 40, pay attention to the crowd Carnival.Food was good, not great.  Dining room was average at best, service was fine but the quality of the food wasn't as good as prior Carnival cruises.  Guy Fieri's burger place was great, as were the home made burritos.  Service at the Lido deck was awesome.  That area could be cleaned up a little, empty plates of food and empty drinks would sit for a long time before being picked up.  If they had a place to bring it we would have done it ourselves.  Overall a good experience again, would go again.

Just OK Overall by horsesoftware

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

We have been on 5 other cruises and this was one of our least favorites. The ports of call were great, especially Puerto Rico. The ship wasn't laid out very well and difficult to navigate. The food was just fair with little variety. The entertainment was not as good as on other cruises we've been on with the exception of the comedians. There were three different comedians and they were very good.  Most of the crew were helpful and friendly. Our room was clean, the bar staff were great and most of the other staff was very good at what they did. One problem we and others noticed was that some of the crew members had B.O. and, it wasn't just from working hard that day. This was old B.O. Some of them need to shower more often. We did appreciate that they weren't pushy when it came to pictures like they are on some other cruises.

UNPLEASANT EXPERIENCE by phine713

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Have cruised on Carnival numerous times; however, my husband and I had two unpleasant experiences on this cruise.  I had wet paint to drop on me while sitting on our balcony.  The ship had not given any type of notification (written nor voice announcement) that painting would be done on that particular day.  Another incident was when we came to our stateroom one evening to get ready for dinner, our cabin door was unlocked and opened.  After asking what was going on, the stateroom steward came from down the hall and informed us that the passengers next door to us where locked in their stateroom and could not get out.  The repairman had to enter into our inside door and go through our balcony door in order to access the balcony door to the next cabin.  This caused us to be late going to dinner since we could not get dressed while the repairman was entering and exiting our stateroom several times.  We had no prior warning of this and we felt this was an invasion of our privacy.

Carnival Glory not all that!!! by mlacter

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Good Points: Cabin Attendant staff and dinning room staff were excellent as well as the Comedy Club, after that it goes downhill.

Not So Good: FOOD!!!!  Bar service(these bartenders are the worst) with the exception of Alchemy Bar only Pros On board. Lots of confusion when shore excursion cxl, inconsistent policy procedures, in general rude staff, most can't communicate in English. Shows in main room second rate at best. The music at the Casino Stage by a cover band was better. Food options throughout day were limited at best, 330 pm very little available.

I would recommend the cruise for the shore excursions in the ports we stopped, they were fun and informative, and all the tour operators  i dealt with were quite professional .

Our cruise director DR E was good and kept passengers well informed, (He needs to slow down  his accent when he talks about debarkation or other important matters)

family vacation by lbarrat2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)

This was not my first cruise but it was for my mom. It was a great experience for her. For me, I noticed inconsistencies with cruise ships. There was no enforcement of dress code for the fine/elegant dining. I noticed a fair amount of people wearing short shorts, flip flops, t-shirts...I was not impressed.  And in the Serenity lounge there was no enforcement of the age as I saw parents bringing in their children (most were under two) therefore did not spend any time there and went to the adult pool.  Which was also a disappointment as people saved lounges and staff did not remove towels as lounges remained empty for over an hour at a time. Very disappointing.

The food was excellent no matter where I ate. There was a fair amount of activities to participate in. Staff were very friendly. I would cruise again.

Fabulous cruise on the Carnival Glory by tpp517sc

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

My husband and I along with our daughter, her husband and 3 teens went on the Carnival Glory and had a fabulous time. Ports of call were fun! Food was great!!!  Service was outstanding!!!  Our waiter, Nahor, in the dining room was incredibly good as well as always smiling and cheerful..  He never complained when we changed out minds or had trouble deciding what to order.  He was always cheerful and patient with us.  When I forgot to order something I wanted, he got it for me anyway!!!  I wish there were more waiters like him in our town. I don't recall meeting our room steward, but our room was always immaculate.  We loved the entertainment.  We liked our ports of call. The only bad thing was having to leave at the end of our cruise, But we're looking forward to another cruise sometime in the future!!!
