Review summary

First off, I have to say that this was my first cruise, my wife's second.  We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary on the ship.  We are old (early 70's,) but still young.  Our 'cabin boy' was just perfect.  We asked for ice on our first day and there was ice in our room every day, all day, thereafter.  He cleaned our room 2 times a day.  There was a different 'towel animal' on our bed every night.  The food was excellent.  The staff was very friendly.  The wife was very happy, so I guess I did a good job booking this cruise; happy wife - happy life.  The ship was clean throughout.  Even though there were over 2K + people on board, there was seldom a waiting line and we never waited over 5 minutes.  Gambling - perfect.  Entertainment - perfect.  Food - perfect.  Getting on and off the ship - perfect.  We had a balcony room (1110) on the 11th floor - perfect.  Bring along binoculars for looking at other ships and land as they go by.  In Half Moon Cay, the stop was perfect;  great food and shops.  You depart from and return to the ship in PT boats.  Reminded me of my USMC days.  In Puerto Rico, I highly recommend a city tour and lunch in 'old town.'  In St. Thomas, we did the mountain top tour.  It was ok.  I would just go to the beach and enjoy the ocean.  To wrap this up, we are saving up for another Carnival trip to the Western Caribbean for our 51st.  Don't forget your camera.  You are in U.S. possessions, so all you need is your drivers licenses and birth certificate.
