Our 2015 Cruise by lazyme129

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We had a great time on the Carnival Glory.  The ports we visited were perfect and the weather was great.  Everyone on the ship were easy to speak to.

We had never been to Belize and Roatan  so going there was definitely something different for us.  The Islands were beautiful with the most beautiful blue water.

Absolutely Marvelous - We will return by AriloMejia

Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

From the moment we got on the cruise ship it blew away our expectations, the beautiful elegant party atmosphere, the beautiful decorations of the ship, the beautiful people and staff, it was an amazing unbelievable experience.

The 2 elegant nights were so nice, everybody dressed up it made us feel special.  When all the waiters and waitresses did the song and dance show was beautiful.  And the food, oh my gosh, was like we were dining at a better than Beverly Hills restaurant everyday (and it tasted much better lol).

My girlfriend loved the Salsa band, they were awesome.  Also different dance places and atmosphere was a great addition.  The rooms were cleaned everytime we stepped out.. it was amazing.  I love the little animals they created with the towels.

Everything, everything on this ship was top notch, the service, the food, the constant party and exciting atmosphere was top notch.  I was sad to leave.  We met 3 awesome couples, one we became good friends and still talk on facebook.

We did not regret 1 penny spent here, and we will totally come back again without any hesitation.  Funny that I didnt even mention the islands we visited ahaha, we visited Half Moon Cay Bahamas it was paradise on earth, St. Thomas so beautiful, my favorite was Puerto Rico with such nice friendly and beautiful people, plus Grand Turks and Caicos islands amazing beach (top 10 beaches Pillory Beach)

I dont work for Carnival im a little humble guy who lives in California and owns a computer shop, and needed a vacation.  What I regret the most of this is not doing it sooner, this is the only way to travel from now on!

You won us over Carnival for lifetime!

What a wonderful vacation! by tiramino

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

This was a great cruise! We really enjoyed ourselves. It is a very family friendly ship. We don't have children and we were not at all bothered or interrupted by the kids running around. The ship had plenty to keep them busy and keep the adults entertained too. The food was terrific and the service was very fast and friendly. We will definitely be taking another cruise with Carnival in the future.

Not what we expected by scat2me

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

After having cruised last year on the Conquest we were seriously disappointed with the Carnival GLORY. The Glory's July 4th cruise was noisy. The vibration from the ship's motors was extremely annoying. From vibrating seats in the dining room all the way to our cabins on the 8th deck. The ship needs servicing. Also people were constantly slamming cabin doors at all hours. Crew  members did nothing to alleviate this. If your looking for a RELAXING cruise this isn't the ship. The cabin crews, dining crews and guest services were not up to par. The entertainment was fair with the exception of the Pianist in the Piano bar ( excellent) and the Guitarist/singer Edd Carr who was by far the best entertainer on board.

Glory Glory by joechandler

We had a great time on our cruise.  My husband and I had a room with a balcony and our girls stayed in an interior room across the hall.  We pre-booked our excursion and signed our sign and sail card to our credit card, so we didn't have to waste time waiting in line.  The excursions were fun but they always seemed rushed.  There was little time on the island after the excursion.  The onboard entertainment is what you expected.  Cruises are great ways to sample locations with the convenience of sleeping in the same place at night.

Carnival Glory Western Caribbean by wooten28

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The food and service were superb. One of our waiters--Karnita--was outstanding. We enjoyed our balcony, except for when people next door were out smoking. There was a nice variety of on-ship activities. The swimming pools were nice, but not big enough for swimming laps. Overall, the noise level on the ship was surprisingly loud: kids running in the hallways, people slamming doors, talking very loud, etc. There was really no place to escape it, not even the serenity area. We enjoyed the library as well as the water slide. All in all, it was a great cruise--our first. The on-shore variety of acitvities was wonderful!

Great Service Great Fun! by hjtoo

Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

First I must commend the fantastic and friendly service from our dinning room waiters. Elizabeth and her crew where always available with assistance and  eager with suggestions at diner.  They were also entertaining as well. There could be more choices available for dining... throughout the ship.     Most of what was available was very good.

The room service was also top notch thanks to Tiger at the helm.

I recommend this cruise.

Phenominal 7 Days on the Carnival Glory by greg629

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

We had an amazing 7 days onboard the Carnival Glory.  Our family of 6 included 2 late teens and 2 grade schoolers, and each and every one of us loved the cruise. The amenities onboard the ship were awesome - great restaurants, clean larger than anticipated staterooms, an abundance of entertainments....  Friendly ship staff, especially the wait staff and room steward...  And we loved the ports that we stopped at - St. Thomas, San Juan, Grand Turk and Half Moon Cay.  We would definitely recommend this ship and cruise line.  A great time had by all.

Good time with the entire family. by grphelan3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

We had a group of 17 with passengers of all ages from 6 to 66. Everyone had a good time. Would have enjoyed more activities (crafts) for sea days (as we had on the Carnival Breeze) but overall it was a very enjoyable time. Loved Half Moon Cay and Margaritaville in Grand Turk. The service in the dining room was outstanding, especially for such a large group and our room stewardess met and exceeded all of our expectations.Happy

Family Experience on Carnival Glory by olddirt333

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

I went on this cruise with my wife and 2 granddaughters who are both 12 years old.  My wife and granddaughters had not been on a cruise before.  Opinions in our group were divided - my wife and granddaughters liked the cruise but I was not so impressed.  The Glory is a very large ship and carries more than a thousand passengers, which means that you spend a lot of time standing in lines.  In spite of the large staff, the dining room service was very slooow.  We were not so impressed with the evening entertainment.  Also, on the last sea day they painted a stairway near our room and we were driven out of the room by the paint fumes.  Carnival adds a lot of extras on your tab that you don't find out about until after you book.  They charge extra for WiFi access on the ship, but it is free at some of the restaurants near the dock in St. Thomas and San Juan.  Liquor charges on the ship are generally comparable to what you would pay in a restaurant in Miami.  For a family, the Carnival's airport transfer changes may be higher than what you would pay if you just hired a taxi to take you from the airport to the dock.  Many of the shore excursions are a doubtful value.  There is a shopping area near the dock at St. Thomas and the merchants offer a free shuttle from the dock to it.  If all you want to do is shop, then you don't need a shore excursion.  In San Juan, the dock is next to the old part of town, where the shops and the historic forts are.  Unless you are disabled or in very poor physical condition, you can easily walk there.  For excursions involving water sports you are basically gambling on the weather.  Read the fine print.  If the activity gets cancelled because of bad weather, they do not refund your money.

Food (and cutback on guest hospitality) have definitely been cut back by missymaio

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

You can easily tell where Carnival is cutting back.  Food choices (buffet and specialty lines) were often understaffed and lacked the large amount of choices as in the past.  Our Dining room waiter (Alexjander from Montenegro was AWESOME) and cabin steward were great.  Not once could i get Pizza. It was NEVER stocked and 3 times I walked off the line.  Walked off the deli line 2 times, and each time went to the burrito/taco or burger lines.  Both of these two outside food locations were great.  Liquor continues to get more and more expensive.  What happened to the beer/wine package?  If it was reasonably priced, people wouldn't be sneaking stuff on!   Overall OK, but definitely not something that I would say was great.

The change in departure time caused us to miss our ship and customer care was not helpful nor would admit to their part in ruining our 40th anniversary celebration.

Another great Carnival Cruise by bretesk65

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

6th Carnival cruise and wont be our last. 1st time to the Eastern  Caribbean and wont be our last. Epic rock might have been the best stage show we have ever seen, and Just June the comedian who performed a couple of nights was by far the funniest comedian we have ever seen at sea or on land. Take the time to book your excursions before you go, So when you are on the boat the ony decision you have to make is where to eat next. Want a great meal? Spend the extra money and try the Emerald steakhouse, top 5 meals I have ever experciened and more then worth the extra money.

7 Glorious Days in the Eastern Caribbean by rrosensteel

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The cruise to these 4 ports in the Eastern Caribbean are the most beautiful islands and memorable scenery that you will ever see.  The islanders were so helpful and kind.  The Carnival Glory had the friendliest service, lots of fun to be had and the ship was constantly being cleaned .  We rate this cruise overall a 10+!

Very nice stateroom, a little small for me and my bf to share. Very quite. Excellent service from our crew man. Food was good, a bit small. Lots of activites going on throughout the day. Tried to push you into buying a lot of items on the cruise. Was a bit irritating. Beautiful scenery.

great itinerary by LyleM

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The port stops were great, the shore excursions were very good and the

food, especially in the dining rooms was also very good.  Servers were

great and the room steward was also great and friendly.  The entertainment was

not very good and there were fewer things happening throughout the ship

than any of our previous cruises (13).  If partying and gambling is for you,

this is the cruise for you.  Not my thing.

Great Cruise by mcal0059

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Easy to book and all the ports were great. If you want a good cruise without being at sea for too long, this is a great choice. Only small thing was the boat was a bit dated, but not to a point that I would dock them for it.
