Eastern Caribbean Cruise by rgranger

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

This was my wife and I's first cruise , and we were impressed with the professionalism of the staff. The food was great , too many choices :-) . We also enjoyed the variety of things to do on the ship.

There was only a couple of issues that I had , nothing major . I had an incidence that occurred at Customer service, I had waited in line to speak to a rep, and I had a woman cut in line and nothing was said. I don't mine waiting my turn , but it infuriates me when others aren't  courteous. Maybe a system that you get a number as you walk up to insure everyone gets waited on as the order that they were in line. Or have a scanner when you walk up that scans your sign and sail card that time stamps in the system and  creates the order of when you got in line.

One other thing that would be nice too see is a better method of locating the pictures that were taken at port of call . One method would be to have a scanner at the picture taking areas , and scan your sign and sail card , and  system creates a number to attach to the photograph , and the photographs would be attached to your account. We bought some of the photographs that were taken of us and our Family , but it was time consuming , like the game , where's Waldo.

Over-all this cruise has set the bar high for our next cruise , great job Carnival.

second best cruise I've been on by dsalido65

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

This cruise was the longest cruise I've done but also one of the best cruises. I greatly enjoyed the stops but makes sure you book an excursion for belize as there is not much to do. Greatly recommend the cave tubing, the isle of passion by twister, and the stingray adventure. Cruise itself was pretty standard but made sure there was always something to do. Would have liked a more friendly staff but i understand they deal with alot of people.

Was a great first cruise and will definitely do it again. Loved that they did ship time and we didn't have to change our watches all the time-made it easy.

Carnival Glory Western Caribbean Cruise by dwayneo72

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

This Is a very nice cruise. Plenty of activities on the ship, very nice staff, excellent service. Everybody made sure that you had everything you wanted and needed. The only part I didn't like was the price of the pictures. They take your pictures on the ship everywhere, and when you get off the ship in ports. They put them out for you to pick out the ones you want but they are $15 for each 5x7 u pick out and that gets pricey quick. I think they should have some type of deal for you. Other than that this was a excellent vacation for me and my wife.

I enjoyed sitting out on deck during the day and dinning at night.  I had fun aboard the ship and in the different stops.  I took my older grandchildren on their first cruise and they had a really good time.  They wanted to book another crise by the end of the second day.

Carnival Glory Eastern Caribbean cruise by jazziredsox

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

It was a great cruise and wonderful experience.  I thoroughly enjoyed it.  I think the boat could use some updating and I really didn't realize how much dressing up was required for the dining room.  I think some of the excursions are a little pricey and not too clear.  The main fun shop store should carry more of a variety of needed items not just booze.

First Timers by derrickearle

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Everything was good but when coming back to the ship after tours we did not know when the food lines were open or closed. When they were closed the only option we had were burgers.Having your own port experts to give better directions to the first timers that are not going on excursions.

The cruise takes you to a beach in the Bahamas which it was ok but it was not what preferred.  Then St. Thomas was very nice next was SancJuan Puerto Rico, it great a lot things to do I wish we had more time in San Juan.  Grand Turk is also a beach day again don't care to much about the beach.

Mixed Reviews by juliemanchella

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

We went to celebrate our anniversary and my big O birthday.  Our time together made our trip a 5 star trip!!  The age and condition of the ship makes this a 2 star trip!!  The folks that were assigned to us (room- Gerry and evening seating- Carlos, Patricia, and Nuka) were fantastic, making it a 5 star trip!!  The morning and daytime buffets were quite a disappointment compared to previous cruises (5 others), making it a 2 star trip!!  The bar staff at the main pool area were catering to the skimpy dressed girls, which was so obvious and sickening (especially Putu, shame on him), which made it a 1 star trip.  However, I go back to my first point, time on the Caribbean with my husband is the BEST, therefore we overlooked the shortcomings of this ship and had a fabulous time!!  (and averaged my rating to a 3 star ship experience)

Awesome cruise by blinnb1260

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

A very specific letter is forthcoming to the cruise line. This was my wife's first cruise and my 5th. Everyone exceeded our expectations. Our waitstaff at every venue was fabulous. The room attendant, Imade, was very attentive. Our excursion to horseback ride in Roatan was awesome. We had time to speak with the manager, jack Mitchell, while there and plan to revisit his resort once he has completed the hotel. This little piece of island was not overrun with tourist and beautiful. Ashton the bartender was so willing to assist us with drinks and food. Our overall experience was so memorable that it's all we can talk about with friends and family.Big Smile

Good. Not great. by MarkHeidebrecht

Favorite part was the punchline comedy club each evening. Dining room service needed to be improved.  Food was okay, not outstanding. Ship was clean. Some  Casino dealers were rude.  Some like Joseph were awesome.

joy of crusing with carnival by dzgal4u

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The ship was beautiful and staff so helpful and polite.  I had a blast on the ship.  Eric the cruse director was so energetic and entertaining, and our cabin care was excellent, we were in room 2444, and I don't know her name, but it started with Mi or Min.  The menu was tasty and servers were always pleasant. I wished that I had arranged more excursions.  The scheduling and organization for leaving ship was excellent as well. Overall, I felt that cruse was well planned and felt well taken care of.

Great Family Cruise Vacation by TseStrong

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

My family and I just came back from our 7 day Western Caribbean cruise. We were on the Carnival Glory ship on a balcony on the 11th floor. The service that we received from our room Steward (Alexander) to our dining experience (Lawrence and Herman) was excellent. The Epic Rock Show and Punchliner Comedy shows were very entertaining and kept our evening and nights enjoyable. The Guy's burgers and Taco/Burrito bar were also great areas to enjoy a mid-day meal. The Fun Day staff, Princess Marshmellow (Lee), Pablo (Hola Pablo) and Eric the Cruise Director were also great. This was my second Carnival cruise in the last two years and there was no disappointments with the itinerary or the entertainment. Love

Carnival did it again!! A great cruise by jimbeal

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

First, I would like to say that booking my cruise to was probably the best decision I made when I came to booking the cruise.

This was my second time on carnival in May 3rd cruise over all. I took a Carnival Cruise 12 years ago and was absolutely thrilled with the Personnel on the ship and how I was treated, and the exact same thing happen this time. The people on the ship or friendly and nice and helpful, the ship was nice, the food was great, the four stops and the excursions that I took were awesome.

I am 51 years old, and my girlfriend is 44 and this was her first cruise and she was apprehensive about the size of the room, how crowded it would be, what it be like to be stuck on the ship, and she was happily surprised about everything.

helpef me when I upgraded to a balcony and helped me look around for a balcony that would be in a good part of the ship and it would be a great balcony to have, and they succeeded greatly

Family Cruise by geprovence

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Really an average cruise....a value for a week, I guess.  No real WOW factor but it was adequate.  Boarding and debarking were hectic and tiresome but to be expected I guess.  First time on Carnival...would go again, only as a super low rate or upgraded cabin.  I feel they are not at the top of the industry.

Who knew "Carnival" lived up to the name! by jamespitt

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Carnival should introduce more strict practices and procedures to ensure the safety of all guests. This ship was full of drunks from ages 10 to 99. EVERYONE was drunk ALL day (even the kids). I was approached several times by underage children offering to give me cash to buy them drinks. There was an 18 year old kid passed out outside of my stateroom in a puddle of his own vomit. It seems that carnival is interested only in the amount of Monday they can make. The ship overall needs major improvements. There was constant maintenance happening around the ship. The guys had whole hallways had whole areas and hallways blocked off to do work; making navigating the ship ever harder having to take alternate ways. There was a constant stench of weed in the hallways and top deck. Carnival should change its name to "Circus".

Potentially great, but didn't quite get there! by jamesdaniely51

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The ship is adequate to provide all of the 'bells and whistles'. However, when I attended a live show, Love & Marriage, I was greatly offended by the MC/Cruise Director. The audience was asked, "Who has been married the longest?". My neighbors, Joan & Ernest Bryan responded, "56 years!". He then asked was anyone married longer with an auctioneer's attitude, "Anyone 55, 56, or longer?" Another couple, said "50 years!". He then proceeded to bring them to the stage and proclaimed, "Okay, as our longest married couple...". It wasn't fair and biased, in my opinion. Joan and Ernest, appeared to be handicapped and are African American. Either, he did not want a handicapped couple or a black couple! Either way, it left a bad taste in my mouth. If he had not identified the white couple as "the longest married couple", or had asked Joan and Ernest if they would have difficulty coming to the stage or if they would like to participate, it would have squashed my issue on the spot; but he did not! I contacted him, via a note, and he spoke with my wife with a plethora of excuses, but didn't acknowledge his bias. I realize that it can be painful to acknowledge our mistakes, but that's the first step in correcting them.

Unsanitary by markeetawoodfin

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Glory / Destination: Caribbean - Western

My first impression was the dusty shelf on the dresser our first day entering the room. Shows that were scheduled but cancelled due to having to dock early because someone was sick. Not compensated for that. The ship it self was beautiful with great features but the host was boring. I have cruised Carnival several times and has always enjoyed the pool parties. This host had one and it was boring. No last day big gathering with a theme. Every other cruise prior to this cruise on Glory had one. Our last night we was out of water for over 4 hours. No letter explaining why had to find out when I tried to flush toilet. This ship needs to dock until all repairs are complete.
