Take clothes pins to hand your wet stuff in the bathroom...there is a line to hang stuff in the shower but you can get more on the line if you use clothes pins :)

Overall my experience was awesome. My advice is if you go to the casino, wear a mask, because the smoke in there is bad!!

The way that the safety meeting was done is horrible. I can only imagine lining up like that if it was 100 degrees out side.

I would suggest paying for faster to the fun if you do not have priority embarkation and debarkation. It makes the process much faster and simpler.

I have been sailing Carnival Cruise lines since 2002. I have never had an experience like this. I spent over $8000 on this cruise and Needless to say I am very disappointed. To begin: Issue #1: When we arrived in the Grand Caymans and we were told to meet our excursion at the end of the dock. There was supposed to be someone there with a sign. I have done this many time before without any issues. However, when we asked the Tour guide holding a sign where was the White house/Gatsby tour. He advised us to meet him at this location at the end of the dock at 10:45. He corralled everyone and told everyone to follow him. After a 10-minute walk across the street to the bus. He collected all our tickets and we boarded the bus thinking the tour was headed to the Whitehouse /Gatsby tour. Instead we arrived at the snorkel and stingray tour. My wife and I were disappointed. We felt we had been intentionally lied to and forced to take an excursion we were not prepared for and did not want to be on. This made us feel very uncomfortable as there was no other way back to the ship. We went with the group and we made it back to the ship. We explained the situation to the customer service and someone from the excursion desk called and advised that our money would be refunded. Thank You. Issue #2: Room service – The last night of the tour fumes of paint thinner and or acetone filled our cabin. I contacted customer service and a gentleman Named Mark from ship maintenance inspected the room and he confirmed the odor but could not explain where the odor was coming from. My thought is that someone was cooking meth somewhere on the ship and the acetone fumes got into the air conditioning system and infiltrated our cabin. Issue #3: room Service – On the 2nd day at sea. $200 we had $200 missing from my wife’s purse and my wallet. A complaint was made with the manager of housekeeping. Issue #4: Room Service - Theft of the $200 was validated when I returned home from the cruise on the 24th only to realize that the cigars I purchased in Cozumel was missing from my luggage and stolen. Issue #5: Music and Entertainment – I do realize that there were a lot of people from Arkansas, Oklahoma and Kansas on the cruise. However, the music and entertainment lacked diversity. Listening to country and wester for 7 days on every stage and deck of the ship is not my idea of fun. I have sailed carnival without any problems in the past with friends and family and I have never encountered any problems. I have always generally left with a good feeling about my experience which is why I continued to sail carnival sometimes twice in one year. As a matter of fact we were planning to book a Fall 2018 cruise before we got off the boat. After all the issues we had I think we will look at other cruise lines for a better experience We dined with another Black couple from Houston that we met on the cruise. We spent approximately $8000 on the cruise including matching Rolex watches for our anniversary. When it was time to disembark from the ship on the final day of the cruise we were stopped by cruise personnel removed from the disembarkation line and escorted to our luggage and then escorted to Customs where we were questioned by Customs officers regarding watches we purchased on the ship. It seems to me that for the money we spent on the ship Carnival would have cleared our purchases with customs already. Then the Customs officer didn't really have a valid reason for stopping us. He asked for our receipts of which was packed in our luggage, He asked to see the watches we purchased of which we were wearing. He did some piss poor calculation about paying tax that didn't make any sense. Then he said we didn't owe any tax and let us go. I have never seen or heard of a black or white couple being detained after purchasing items on the boat. Meanwhile two days after the cruise the other Black couple that we dined with told us they were also pulled out of the line and given some bogus excuse regarding some charges for pictures. Message to all black cruisers. Carnival Freedom treats there black customers terrible.

Not sure if this was the weather of time of year (March), but this ship seemed to rock more than other experiences I have had.

Don't book this trip. Spend your money elsewhere. If you like poor service and arrogance from everyone on this ship then this is for you.

Take your motion sickness meds or patch or wrist bands!! Even though this was my 7th cruise, this was the first one I got motion sickness. There was a tremendous amount of motion, and it was felt all over the ship most of the cruise and even at night in bed.

Add more variety of activities for Fun Day at Sea. A lot of the activities were repetitive like Basketball Knockout Challenge, Bean Bag Toss, Volleyball Tournament, etc.
