My boyfriend & I had a wonderful time. The cost of the cruise was unbeatable. The entire staff on the ship was friendly & remembered our names throughout the cruise, which was quite impressive considering the amoutn of guests on board. The merchandise we purchased on board was not expensive, and in some cases (alcohol), was even cheaper than in Mexico. We are already planning our next cruise with more ports of call for next year. We are also recommending to all of our families and friends for future trips. Thanks !!!

Overall impression, I liked the ship and the environment. The downfall is the gratuity that is added to every charge you have. My issue is that if you are not happy with a server, it should be our discretion if we offer gratuity. Furthermore, since we are on the ship for several days, there should be a more reasonable charge on drinks. Drinks were as much as if in were in a night club.

this was me and my husband first cruise ever and we enjoyed it so much mow we are talking about doing this every year.the ship was very clean and beautiful the crew was so nice and friendly they made you feel at home.

As a first time cruiser we were disappointed. Service was hit and miss but never really great as I find in even the most standard hotels. Food was decent cafeteria food at best. I cannot eat fish so maybe that was really great? Everything I had was just so-so. The ship is small and loud. If you are on the pool deck the music is very loud. Other areas the ship was pretty loud. We felt like we could not get away from all the noise on the ship. I think this is just because it is so small. The Behind the Scenes tour was worth it. This gave you fun insight into what goes on to keep a cruise up and running.

it seams like carnival is cutting back on staff not as many people to help you alot of the time but we had a good cruise

The ship was small and easy to get around on if you don't mind using steps. The elevator was almost always in use at other floors and when it would start moving it would pass your floor 4 or 5 times before it would stop and open. One learned to just get in ANY open door (going up or down) and then push your button for the floor you wanted. You would get there 10 times faster.

Rooms were way too warm. Talking to other guest, they all felt the same way. Drinks were too expensive

Since we entered till we are out, it was all very relaxing. It is not a huge ship but big enough for first timers. I really loved the whole relaxing environment where I wasn't forced on activities I don't feel comfortable to participate. I felt that tons of photos taken during the cruise were sold at very expensive price which I avoided. I think they can make more money if prices are adjusted by 25%. It took us to 2 ports, progresso - don't have much to do except beach, Cozumel - nice tourist city with expensive shore excusrions. You can avoid paying these by going to public beach. Swimming with Dolphin was most attractive to kids at Cozumel but very expensive specially when they don't let you take the kids picture at all and sell those to unbelievable high prices ($30 each).

I have to say that the ship is very nice, clean and comfortable. Some of the staff however were not as helpful or as outgoing as I would have expected. I treid not to but i kept comparing this cruise to a Disney Cruise I took and hands down the disney cruise was much better. I have decided that if i ever do cruise again, it wont be with Carnival. Also, the excursion to Merida was a waste of time. The locals were bad talking the guests (they didnt know I could understand them) and said that if they were not spending money they should just leave. So i would skip that port, or just stay on the boat. Overall on a scale of 1 -10 i would give this cruise and Carnival a 4 maybe a 5.

Staff were all pleasant and helpful. Overall experience was less so, because of Carnival's deciision to cater to a demongraphic which likes very loud music and lots of booze.

Food, outside of the dining room experience, was just fair at best. There are NOT enough public restrooms throughout the ship, and they are NOT well-kept/clean when you can find one. When you feel as though you must go back to your stateroom to use a facility something is wrong. A stopover in Progresso is NOT a good port. But, the attendants of the ship's crew were wonderful and made the experience and cultural information gained very nice.

This was our third trip on the Elation, and we are scheduled again to go next month. We like the ship because it is smaller and very easy to find your way around. We liked the location of our cabin and because it was a cabin for handicap persons (we are not handicapped) it was somewhat roomier than the regular cabins, however it was beat up. Food was excellent, both in the dining room and Lido deck. Our chocolates delivered to our cabins (VIP) should have been delivered earlier in the cruise. Too full to eat the delicious chocolates on the last afternoon/evening. Very friendly staff at guest services. Also enjoyed dining room staff, especially our head waiter \"Mehmet\" from Turkey in \"your time dining\".

The ship was very clean and well maintained.

Cant beat it for the buck. ALso, dont be scared of Progresso, we did not book an excursion, just went into town, and had a great day on our own. Massages on the beach, local culture, shopping.
