Our first cruise experience

Sail Date: August 20, 2012

Reviewed: 4 years ago

Traveled As: Family w/older children

Room Type: Inside

Food, outside of the dining room experience, was just fair at best.
There are NOT enough public restrooms throughout the ship, and they are
NOT well-kept/clean when you can find one. When you feel as though
you must go back to your stateroom to use a facility something is wrong.
A stopover in Progresso is NOT a good port.

But, the attendants of the ship's crew were wonderful and made the experience and cultural information gained very nice.

Pros: Wonderful service and attitudes by the crew\, in particular our stateroom attendants and the waiters/waitresses in the Imagination dining room.

Cons: There has to be a better way of handling the disembarkment procedures. Carnival recommends you have them take your baggage the night before (that worked great) but the frustrations of the \"zoo\" atmosphere awaiting your turn to leave the ship (prioity to those who carry their own luggage) is awful.

Recommends Carnival Elation? No.

Ship Quality
As above\, poor public restroom accessibility and lack of cleanliness.
Food and Dining
Especially in the Imagination dining room.
Cabin / Stateroom
The attendants were incredibly good!!
Service and Staff
Entertainment
