was not what I thought it would be by WandaS2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

It was to commercial for me. Everything was about money. Ithought all gratuities were included. They were not. I was really upset about the extra charges on my final bill.

Great cruise by RonK4

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We just retruned from our cruise on Carnival Conquest and would recommend the ship and its crew to anyone. We were treated extremely well and could not have asked for a better vacation. The ports of call were interesting and we enjoyed going ashore and seeing the different cultures of each locationj. My wife and I will go cruising again the Fall and will definitely use Canival.

average cruise by MaryW10438561

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

this was to be a 2 person birthday celebration but no recognition by carnival or vacation outlet. after 2 days, capt. staff came and locked our doors adjoining balconies and said it was "safety " issues they had to be closed. We chose these rooms because of this fact and paid extra for balconies that adjoined. captain staff very short and matter of fact. not willing to compromise. dining was in monet dining room all the way to back of ship. food was just average, nothing special. Tried sushi-worse than average. a/c did not keep up with temperatures in state rooms. asked for ice several times, got it twice a day no matter what.

Learned a valuable lesson by CherylM13

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We were given a rm under a loud thumping lounge and was told by staff at guest services there were no other rms avail.I didn't think the shows in the evening were quite as good as the ones I had seen on other ships. Also they think everyone wants to wait around for a 10:45 show. What happened to the regular 8pm show?

FANTASTIC CRUISE by GregS14

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

before we left we read alot of reviews (the negative ones) let me tell you, this cruise was the best one yet (8 other cruises) yes the boat is a little older but that did not stop us from having a awsome cruise. the food was great, the wait staff was beyond wonderful, the ship was the cleanist ive seen, The ports were great, (beware Cayman island is EXPENSIVE, lol) the only bad thing is leaving, they could improve in this area. I hope this helps. Like I said BEST cruise EVER!!!

A very good cruise. by MarshallM1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple

The Conquest is a very good ship & is very well maintained. We enjoyed all the time we had on the ship except our air-conditioner fan ran on high speed the whole time & we could not slow it down.

Nice cruise, could have been better. by KathyG7

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Western

This was a boring ship. When we were a captive audience at sea there was little to do. There were children in every dance area except the two where smoking was allowed. This made it very difficult to dance without stepping on a kid. The 'adult pool and sunning area' was very small and always crowded. The lounge chairs were never available. Smoking was rampant on this ship. The 2 dance areas where kids weren't allowed was so smokey I couldn't breath. The casino was very smokey too. To get to the adult area in the rear of the ship you had to walk through a wall of cigarette smokers in the open area. The 3 ports we stopped at were 9 hours at two of them and 7 hours at the third one. This was definatly not enough time in port. We signed up for excursions through Carnival and will not do that again. They only take you to areas that are approved by Carnival and what that ended up meaning was Carnival got a kick back from all the shops and stops. The food and drink were the same price as the ship. We spoke to others that booked with local excursion companies and WOW they got great deals. Now, I will say the excursions we took and the guides we had were very nice and informative just totally directed at select places. In Mexico I asked why we kept passing places that had different signs out front selling the same items but for far less money then the places we were being taken to. The answer; because this is where we have to go. I finally asked a driver to stop at an unscheduled place 1/10 of a mile down the street, and he said he would take me back there if there was time, and my word he did!. I got my blankets for less than half of anyone else. In a nut shell; 2 stops and longer stays at both would be preferable in my opinion. Prepare for highway robbery when you desire alcohol or soda, and prepare to smile for all the photos you feel bad about having shredded at the end of the cruise. I mean how many picture does a person need not to mention you probably have a camera with you. Plan a few excursions on your own. Take up smoking because you will feel like you did.

GREAT CRUISE! by SheilaG1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple

It is large. The pubic areas were nice and it did not smell of cigarett smoke. It was alittle dated in some areas but never the less, pretty and clean.

absolutely great cruise by BarbaraW10

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

the conquest was a great size ship---buffet was as usual, the food served was really great--we were able to eat there without fighting for a spot in the line--seating was adequate. the dining room was wonderful, decorations were understated but lovely---the service was perfection, the food was the best we've had on a cruise. Our cabin was nice, the balcony was good-I couldn't travel without a balcony.

less than average by DougF2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Poor sevice! We were moved from our original balcony to a room below the spa?gym. Noise started at 0700 hrs. Everyday. Upon complaining the ship blamed the booking agent, althouth they had our original room confirmed. They said there was nothing they could do , when they checked back they wondered why had't we complained further ? We are experienced cruisers on several other lines and would NOT recommend Carnival!

A Great Cruise by BettyS5

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The ship was very clean, well kelp and sanitary. The food was delicious. Some of the prime rib ever ate. The staff was very courteous and helpful. They were clean and well groomed. The entertainment was O.K. If anything that needs improvement it is the entertainment. We enjoyed the cruise immensely. This is our 4th cruise, 3rd with Carnival. The destinations were gorgeous and great weather.
