Good cruise overall by Yashs323

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

A good cruise overall. Guest customer service is really no customer services. Always line there. In beginning of cruise wait was about 15 minutes. Last 2 days the wait was 1.5 hr.

I am not happy. I don't know how the other ships operate, but the conquest was a total waste of a lot of my money!

Cleanliness and Service were lacking by AWare15

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

I hate to sound all negative, so let me say what Carnival did right. They gave us a spa gift card for our anniversary, their musicians and vocalists (loved the Conquistadors and the violin trio) were amazing, the food in the dining room was good, and Half Moon was beautiful. Unfortunately the positivity ends there. Things Carnival did not do well that made our cruise not feel like the luxurious vacation it should’ve been: Cleanliness was AWFUL. The scum line on the pool was baffling. The constant grime (hair globs, black scum/ mold around the edges and on every step) and food on the deck (from the second we got on) was inexcusable. The windows were filthy. The staff was incredibly slow at clearing tables for people to sit at in the buffet. The guy at the omelet station walked away from our omelets and they burned. The guy at the deli counter was rude when I asked for a wrap to be made without bacon (allergy). The crew overall did not look happy to be there. Our stateroom bathroom smelled like urine. I felt like our stateroom was clean, so the smell was due to age of the ship. On our sea day, there was a group of several women on the adult deck that had been drinking too much and were getting very loud and blasting inappropriate music (several curse words). When I approached the guy working the towel station, he said he would call his supervisor. Thirty minutes passed, other guests were clearly annoyed, so I went back to ask him to speak to them again. He said he would call his supervisor again. Nothing was done. We were on the Serenity Deck, so it should’ve been quiet and serene. It wasn’t . Carnival did not enforce the dining room dress code. (I don’t want to see a man’s hairy armpits when I’m eating a nice dinner.) I didn’t like seeing the dishes piled up so close to us in the main dining rooms. In all honesty, we will not cruise Carnival again unless it’s a brand new ship and basically free. It felt understaffed and dirty. I would like to thank a few people who were kind and made us feel like we were actually cruising! Mario (room steward) was great. Craig (excursion counter) was very kind and NOT pushy! Joanne (I think that’s her name. She was in charge of seating people in the dining room.) was always pleasant and happy to see us. Arifin and Allan were our favorite waiters. Allan went out of his way to get me a bowl of strawberries for my dessert at brunch. That was very much appreciated! I wish the rest of the crew would’ve been as happy and ready to help as these 5 were. It would’ve completely changed our vacation!

Awesome by Ashleyvida

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Everything was absolutely amazing. Matt the director of entertainment is the best EVER! I loved that they had an app to tell you what's going on when and where. Endless food and to die for drinks! Half man cay island really made my whole trip. Floated out in the ocean on a floatie was my highlight. No drama no worries no busy life. Nassau felt rushed and I felt like a huge tourist needing to see everything before 5 when we left. Half moon cay there wasn't much to do (except the awesome excursions) but that's the best part. DOING NOTHING!! but laying out on a beautiful island! Overall entertainment (high five on comedy club), drinks, and half moon cay really made my vacation so great

Really Amazing Trip, wonderful staff, family friedly by talitey

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

This was a well organized ship. Very convenient, very accommodating staff. The only downside was that toddlers and babies are not allowed in any of the pools if they are not potty trained. which is understandable but they should make water section for babies and toddlers to play.

The Best Vacay Ever!! by TClarke77

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

This was the best Vacay I've had. The Cruise Director Matt was AWESOME! So full of energy and super fun. Our Steward Jerrymil was great and took care of our every need with a friendly smile. At Dinner, Chen was great. She made our dinner experience more enjoyable. We visited the Spa and had facials by Tereen. She was Fabulous. She gave my daughter and I so much information about taking care of our skin. She was very friendly, we didn't want to leave the spa!! The staff I mentioned really made a difference, making us feel welcome. The ports were beautiful, the ship was amazing and we had an outstanding vacation!

Excellent first cruise experience! by townsek2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Overall, this first cruise was wonderful! The boat was lovely. The ART and decor were very interesting and I loved taking pictures all over the ship. Crew was very welcoming and friendly, dining and food very tasty and many choices, plenty of activities to keep everyone busy and interested. Excursions were great, just wish they were less expensive and all drinks ( not including alcohol) should be included in the package. My favorite port was Half Moon Cay (Bahamas). Very peaceful and beautiful Beach Island. Debarking was very crowded and lengthy. Overall, we had an awesome cruise aboard the Carnival Conquest.

We had terrible customer service. The dining room food was mediocre and the service made us wait forever for what we ordered the level of attention and service that used to exist in the cruise industry is being overshadowed by the half effort of carnival

Just okay cruise ship by heronda40

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Carnival Conquest was by far not my favorite ship to date! We have cruised 6 times and i was not very impressed with this trip at all! Food mediocre at best (not many choices, or at least compared to the other ships we’ve been on)! Entertainment was sparse, comedy show was ok. Service was just okay, and for some reason we had to ask our room steward Jose’ for several things that were standard on the other ships ( like robes, and hand soap for the sink to wash our hands)! We also found a few things in our room that led me to believe that the rooms are not thoroughly cleaned between passengers (some medications left in the closet, a dirty wash cloth in one of the cabinets, and used soap in the shower soap dish)! I had to request several times for my linen to be changed because of severe stains, and this was just the first day!! We did get new carpet installed while we docked on day 3, so that was nice (and clean)! The ship overall is older but seemed only to need minor improvements and maintenance, but common areas seemed clean!! I’m not usually a complainer but cleanliness is non-negotiable! I just had to try and forget the rough start and managed to have fun despite these things! I will definitely cruise again, but I will probably go back to Norwegian ships (no complaints there)!!

Great trip but staff was rude to us! by gonzalez490

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Cruise was great! We loved mat, the cruise director. He hosted most of the shows and entertainment. Funny guy!! Dinner was great. If you miss dinner you still have other food options. Most of the staff was welcoming. Our rooms where serviced at least twice a day which is a plus!! There are plenty of raffles to join for chances to win goodies. There was only one thing that really bothered us. At half moon cay, we asked a bartender to ass just a little more liquor to our drinks. They where a little weak. And the way he came off, we felt was just a little rude. He stated your on vacation, not me. Then a bartender by the name Yula, who I assumed was maybe a supervisor cause of the different shirts, said loudly, “that’s the way these drinks are made, if you don’t like it, I can void it and you can go to another bar” I just think it was very unprofessional. We only ask for “a little more Bacardi in 1 of the two drinks that we purchased. We weren’t asking for free liquor. It’s the least we’d expect after spending over 300 dollars on drinks. Usually a bartender would fix your drink to your likings. But instead we ended up paying for shots. Which is totally fine. She just should approach her guest with such an attitude. There is definitely a different way to go about it.

Cruise to Bahamas by anissanvance

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Conquest / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

It was a fun time, as I was with my family, there were 30 of us on board. But I felt like we were nickeled and dimed for every single thing. Food was okay, nothing extravagant. Staff was very nice...until the last night. It all went downhill then. The food was not good the last night and the staff was not attentive at all. I felt like their weren’t many activities to choose from, though we all had a blast at karaoke. The ship was somewhat dirty...around the pool deck areas. The room attendant we had was super nice, as was my parents room attendant. Overall, my expectations were set very high from cruising with a different cruise line in the past. And this did not meet them. The family being together and having a blast is what made it memorable.

Overall very happy with this cruise. We went as a group of 7 (2 8yrs old kids included) they always had something to do. Navigating throughout the ship was easy. The staff was very friendly and helpful at all time. The food was good. I wish they had more options of beverages in the buffet area.
