Our cruise director was Lee Mason. He is fantastic. We enjoyed the new ship and even with 5,200 passengers on board, never felt crowded... Except when waiting for the small elevators

Step up your game for this beautiful ship! by christinelmt65

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Celebration / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We were so excited to go on this ship being a new ship. We had been canceled several times due to Covid. We arrived on the ship, and it was beautiful. We had gotten on early, so I had my swimsuit on under my clothes knowing we couldn’t go to the room right away. We came from a cold place, so I had sweats on. I quickly pulled them off and got in the pool. Later we went to our room, to change and get ready for dinner, our bags weren’t there. This was at 3 o’clock. I kept being told repeatedly they would be there soon. I was not able to attend dinner, as I wasn’t going to wear sweats or suit. My luggage finally arrived at 9:45. Suitcase broken. We never even saw our steward but once, and didn’t know his name. We had dinner time in Festival for 5:30. Service every single night was terrible. We would wait 45 minutes before taking order. They would constantly forget to bring things to table, at one point two days before the cruise was over, they said they were out of milk. Not true…just too lazy to go get it. Same with bread basket. The only place we got good service was Tempanyaki. Very nice. People friendly. Buffet terrible. Food always the same, not tasty. If you like dessert, forget it. Sometimes you may get two choices. Bartenders seemed great at the Pig. Drinks overall, not that great. Comedy…meh. Shows were pretty good. Their singers incredible. They added a specialty purse shop…pre owned just a little pricey. In general about half the staff friendly, the other half just rude. Three relatives got stuck in elevator seperately. Getting on and off the ship, big improvement. Very painless. The pools were great. Loved there were a lot to choose from, and didn’t run out of seating. We’ve been on several carnival cruises that we’ve loved. The only thing that saved this trip was the pools and our family having fun.

Rude by Take2beach

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Celebration

Hated it, way to many people talking about their status. It was sickening, and bragging how their cruise was free, rude people at elevator and food lines. Worst I have ever seen, but i don’t cruise Carnival only.

Inaugural Cruise Miami Departure by katj

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Celebration

Carnival Celebration is a beautiful ship. It's in it inaugural season so there may be a few hiccups but I had no issues that would prevent me from sailing on her again. Carnival does casual dining the best out of all cruise lines, and Celebration continues this tradition. I prefer the traditional pizza shop to that of Miami Slice, but I see the need to offer pizza in slices versus entire pies to try to reduce waste. The ship never seemed crowded; notwithstanding the elevator congestion or busier wait times at prime dining hours. The staff were overwhelmed at times but were always professional if not always obsequious and fawning.

Beautiful Cruise by Rusand

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Celebration

Overall We enjoyed ourselves. We we’re not happy with the Buffett but did enjoy the steakhouse and seaday brunch and Chefs table. we missed the other restaurants due to the length of cruise. on a large ship I would sail longer. The sail away party was excellent with DJCrew and the cruise director was excellent.

Our inaugural cruise on the celebration by jjotanijo

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Celebration

It was a great time. Carnival is a great cruise line. My only issue is it seems they keep taking away things and cheapening others. Just raise the price a bit and keep the quality before seasoned cruisers jump ship and head to more accommodating cruise lines. I have one more cruise booked with carnival and after that we may test the waters of other lines

One of the best cruises I've been on by Aj2310

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Celebration

Amazing cruise. I most definitely recommend this cruise to you. It is much like the Mardi Gras, so if you like that cruise you'll love this one. Overall a great experience. Some days were very windy though but it's not a very big problem.

Review of Carnival Celebration on 1st Sailing by wogagal

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Celebration

Overall the first cruise on the Celebration was a great experience to bring her home to Miami. The ship needs some tweaking here and there. Not all elevators are in service. Central stage needs a little redesign to accommodate more seating and improve sight lines.

This was one of my favorite cruises. I like the multiple sea days. It’s a big ship. No place felt overcrowded except trying to get into a comedy show.

Celebration…never again by silverfire34

Not the best experience. Most of the people onboard were sick and a majority of my group came back Covid positive. The only health questionnaire that was given was for the bridge tour.

Loved Celebration. Wish one of the Excel ships cruised to ABC islands during October or November, but I guess it will force me to try out a different ship.
