Review summary

Our cruise director was Lee Mason. He is fantastic. We enjoyed the new ship and even with 5,200 passengers on board, never felt crowded... Except when waiting for the small elevators

Embarkation

It's Miami, but this new terminal was a lot smoother than other boardings.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Enjoyed the specialty restaurants that were included as part of the inaugural sailing season. We had lunch at Chi-Bang, which was great. Would happily eat here again

Cucina del Capitano

Dinner was good & was complimentary. Probably wouldn't pay to eat here again

BOLT: Ultimate Sea Coaster

We loved it. Wish it was a little longer than one minute

Entertainment

The Big Top show was amazing. We were lucky enough to have front row seats. One of the best Carnival shows we've seen.

Service and Staff

Always top notch

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The Celebration is beautiful. We loved all the Dining options and the staff kept the ship immaculate. Only complaint we had was the small elevators.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The cabin is nice and glad they increased the size of the shower however, the rest of the bathroom is tiny. Barely have room to move around when using the sink.

Ship tip

Be patient when using the small elevators. Enjoy the dinning venues. Get there early for the Big Top Show as it's awesome.

Ports of call

San Juan, Puerto Rico

We love PR. Did the $25 tour that we purchased outside the port. The guide was great and we got to see many points of interest.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

We took the $7 round trip water taxi to the beach. Did some shopping... Went to "The Yoga Guy" museum. Then had a few drinks at "Nu Love" bar on the beach. We love this port.

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic

4 out of 5
Did the Mountain Views and City Sights excursion. The ride there and back was an experience in itself. Great views once you got up there.

Disembarkation

Easiest we have ever had in Miami. So glad they got rid of the luggage carousel
