Beautiful ship, wonderful friendly crew, however the MDR and buffet food has gone down hill, ugh.

Review summary

The ship is beautiful, the crew and staff are awesome in every way. All our stops were great. And with all that said , I think that my husband and myself really like the smaller ships due to the amount of walking. Also a better chance of getting a slot machine to play without waiting 2+ hours to grab a machine.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
food was not as good as past cruises, I lost 5 lbs. While I know I could stand to loose more, but on a Cruise?????? No.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Less than 500 slot machines total on a ship that carries 5000+ people. Not able to play most nights.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
They were all WONDERFUL, helpful and friendly. Anthony was our steward and he took great care of us.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Always clean and well kept, but the layout makes for a LOT of walking for an old girl such as myself.

Cabin / Stateroom

Great room, we loved it, but the Havana was below us and the door that is on that area between covered/uncovered cabana's SLAMS like a bomb EVERY morning over and over. It needs something!

Ship tip

When going somewhere on the other end of the ship, follow the hallway on your floor to the elevator near the area you are going to. This saves walking and people dodging.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

The new pier F needs a closer parking area, it is SO far to walk from either option .

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic

Beautiful fun port, and the reserved SVU rental was awesome and well priced.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

4 out of 5
Beautiful place, lots of walking on uneven roads and so many hills.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

Beautiful coast line, we visited both sides. The side by side rental was not electric as we were told and it was SO LOUD, we could not hear each other talk. The steering was screwed up, we had to go forward and back 4 times to get out of a normal parking slot, The bottom was wide open and anything in the road would fly into the seat area. For $180 you can "UPGRADE" to an electric 4 seater...uhmmmmm.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Fast and easy.
