Not my favourite ship. by HSHThorne

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Britannia

In my opinion Britannia is far too big and I do not think that I will sail on Britannia again due to the size and the ultra modern feel, it also feels more like a hotel/shopping centre rather than a ship. The ship also attracts a younger crowd which causes a more lively atmosphere rather than a traditional P&O atmosphere however many people enjoy cruises on Britannia.

Britannia comes in for a... by bramleygreen1

Sail date: /
Ship: Britannia

Britannia comes in for a lot of criticism mainly from the those that like the brass and glamour of the more traditional cruise ships, but my wife and I love the modern decor and spaciousness of this ship. We've cruised on her twice now and would happily sail with her again. There is a good variety of restaurants, from pizza to 5*. Something for everyone. If I have to be critical you cannot stroll completely around the top deck without changing decks and the air conditioning in the theatre is fierce - take a cardigan, scarf or wrap. All the shows we saw were worth it.

This is a beautiful ship and we really enjoyed our cruise. The highlight of the cruise was the overnight in St Petersburg, not sure what I expected but it is a beautiful city and would have loved to spend more time there.x

Ship: Britannia

We were on Britannia for her maiden voyage March 2015. Our first cruise on what is an amazing ship, from the Crows Nest down to the Cafe on 5. It caters and covers everyone's wants and needs required. Going on Ventura in 10th days.....hopefully she lives up to my expectations. :D

Did not disappoint! by Karriejay

Lovely cruise spoilt only by my new found ability to be seasick, hooray! Tried acupuncture for the first time too - don't know if it helped, but it didn't make it any worse!

Enjoyable Cruise by TonyFinn

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Britannia

Overall we really enjoyed this cruises. Our intention was not to go on any excursions and just explore the ports of call and enjoy the scenery. We didn't regret this choice as we found it much more relaxed and loved walking around the ports of call in our own time. We thought the ship was really good with a great layout. Plenty of friendly staff on hand to make it a truly relaxing holiday

Good ship for young families by pinkchicken88

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Britannia

Overall it was an ok cruise. Didn’t really feel like the cruise staff were that involved. Lack of daily announcements and uplifts from the cruise director. In fact we hardly saw him around! Most of the staff were friendly enough. Good wasn’t great which was the only disappointment

Overall this was a beautiful cruise. The ports and sailing along the Fjords was stunning! Amazing views! We had a great trip. Everyone was friendly and the entertainment was very good. If the food was better, it would have been perfect.

B410 Norwegian fjords by SaznDave

Fabulous from beginning to end, apart from the noisy cabin, which didn’t really spoil the cruise. Would definitely cruise again in Norway but do different ports

P&O Britannia Caribbean to UK. by BrysY

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Britannia

Missing Ponta Delgarda meant 9 sea days from Antigua. Weather was hit and miss. Aside from the enrichment talks and the two bands the entertainment felt a little lacklustre. Food was great in the MDRs and specialty venues. Buffet was akin to a rugby scrum. Poolside grill provided surprisingly decent burgers etc. The poolside grab and go fridges that we’ve enjoyed on our previous Britannia cruises is no longer in use which is a great shame. Hopefully the refit will perk the ship up a little as some areas feel tired. Staff were great across the board.

Britannia Transatlantic Caribbean 19th October 23 by lou1969

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Britannia

The cruise was great although the first few days were a bit choppy due to the storm. Nothing a couple of pills couldn’t fix. Food choices in the buffet could have been better but always had great food in the MDR’s and speciality restaurants. Entertainment was great although the resident band pulse had more nights off than on. The sunbed situation was what was expected, had to be up at silly o’clock to get a sunbed and people reserving them and leaving them for hours. Lots of tacky contests by the pools and the sort you would see at Butlins which is why I spent most sea days in the retreat or the serenity pool. Caribbean beautiful as I always remember them. All in all a great cruise and yes I would recommend Britannia

Transatlantic cruise by Morbius50

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Britannia

Ship very British with an older age group. Looking tired in places. Food average but Sindhu well worth extra charge. Limelight club good depends on who is playing. Cocktails not good. Entertainment staff excellent. MDR breakfast and room breakfast good. Main pool area packed, best to sunbathe on deck 17.

So close, but so far. by joecruises

Britannia is a characterful ship with its quirks. The port changes were a let down, and the service slow, but that wouldn't stop me from booking again.
