Review summary

Britannia is a characterful ship with its quirks. The port changes were a let down, and the service slow, but that wouldn't stop me from booking again.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Smoothly enough but annoyed they weren't turning people away who came an hour plus before their time, as this caused long waits for people on time.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Blue Bar

5 out of 5

Best venue on the ship in our opinion. Shout-out to Queenie for being amazing!

The Glass House

5 out of 5

The portions are a little small but you come here for fine food and you definitely get it.

Horizon Restaurant

1 out of 5

Horrific. We had breakfast here once and decided to avoid it for the rest of the cruise.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5

Hydrotherapy Suite

2 out of 5

One of the rooms was out of order and there was visible rust on the waterfall shower head in the main pool.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
The staff we did interact with were amazing. But there simply weren't enough of them. Waiting twenty minutes for a coffee in a cafe is unacceptable.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The layout is weird, but that's Britannia for you. The common areas were broadly kept clean, but it was easy to spot places that had been missed if you looked.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Better than my last inside on Britannia but still not perfect. I cut my head while rolling in my sleep on the bedside table's sharp high corners

We were late into Southampton so everything was thrown into chaos
