Ship: Brilliance of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Overall just an average cruise experience. This is the third time we have been on Brilliance and came away a little disappointed. The ship is clean and the cabins are comfortable and clean. The entertainment was horrible. The food was just average. Chops was by far the best. And despite being told we would dock at the pier in Cozumel, we ended up tendering. When we asked ship personnel we were basically lied to as they kept claiming that there were too many ships in port yet we were the second ship to arrive and there was pier space available. Read below my tender comments on Cozumel.

It was an okay cruise by 911CruiseMaster

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Brilliance of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The cruise was great. The water was calm going and on return. The staff was friendly and courteous. The ports of call were ok but we had to tender a lot and we rather dock. The food was good but tasted better on other Royal Caribbean ships.

Royals Brillance of the Seas- always a winner by ajlittle7

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Brilliance of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

A great vacation on a small but big enough Brilliance of the Seas. We love this ship. Service and food gets 5 stars. There was only one thing that was off. The rude and arrogant Next cruise sales person. We wanted to book a $6500 Iceland cruise and she treated us like s..t. We booked it with our agent now. But Royal Caribbean should think about what people are representing their business. Otherwise we loved our staff and the always amazing food. It couldn’t have been better.

Fun cruise by vickilord

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Brilliance of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The cruise was lots of fun! We met some great people. Brilliance is one of the nicest smaller ships we've been on. The ports were good but the cruise was too short!

Nice crossing, not too rough by cruisedoggie

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Brilliance of the Seas / Destination: Transatlantic

Overall this was a nice relaxing crossing. The ship could use some updates and window cleaning, you can hardly see out of some of them. I would do this cruise again.

Nice Transatlantic crossing less than full ship by mdfl

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Brilliance of the Seas / Destination: Transatlantic

Brilliance of the Seas is a nice ship, but shows its age. Other Radiance class ships, like Jewel, have been refurbished with updated decor. The Brilliance of the Seas orchestra was great! Mary Jess was amazing!

Brilliance T/A by nikolakis

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Brilliance of the Seas / Destination: Transatlantic

An overall nice cruise .The ship is a little old but perfect size and well designed. Staff was great and the crossing uneventful. The food was good in the Windjammer but not so good in the main DR. Royal Caribbean has improved since Mr .M. Bayley has taken over as CEO.

Beautiful Ports, Unremarkable Ship by amkirsch2000

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Brilliance of the Seas / Destination: Transatlantic

The ports made the cruise worthwhile. The ship was rather unremarkable. Would cruise again from Barcelona on a more interesting ship.

Iberia to Tampa by mgreen542

The cruise offered a great number of stops for a repositioning cruise. 8 consecutive sea days is a bit long.

Pre Pandemic Europe by MsMarjorie

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Brilliance of the Seas

There was a lot to see. Exstreamly beautiful Ports. I will not go to Rome again. I lived I'm Italy. The distance from the Port to Rome is two hours and although it's scenic it's too long a trip back & forth. Big big lines if you intend to see the Vatican. Don't miss the Bus !

Lovely Ship Great Crew by PeteTH

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Brilliance of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

I have to say the many senior officers that we have seen that participate in the guest events is great to see. A special shout out to Paul Hotel Director, Jaco Food and Beverage Manager and Alistair Executive Chef and many many more that got out and participated in the events with guests. This was the best cruise where senior management on the ship were out and mingling with the passengers – Brilliant.
