Review summary

The cruise was lots of fun! We met some great people. Brilliance is one of the nicest smaller ships we've been on. The ports were good but the cruise was too short!

Embarkation

Check in was smooth and quick. However, boarding was a mess. RCI blamed the Coast Guard inspection.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Excellent. Especially Chops Grill.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Didn't participate in any activities. Went to the pool.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
It was okay. Could've been better.

Children's Programs

No children traveling with is.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone was great!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Very clean for an older ship. Layout is good for a smaller ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
We had a Jr. Suite with a partially obstructed view. The obstruction was minimal. I would have given it 5 stars except the mattress was the most uncomfortable mattress we've ever slept on. RCI needs to replace the mattresses.

Ports of call

Tampa, Florida

5 out of 5
No excursion. Just walked around.

Key West, Florida

4 out of 5
No excursion. Just walked around. Don't forget to take your SeaPass and your ID. You need both to get back to the ship since you have to pass thru a naval base.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

4 out of 5
Took an excursion to Chocchoban. Lots of walking. Very interesting.

Cozumel, Mexico

4 out of 5
No excursion. Walked around and found a great bar.

Disembarkation
