What’s left to say? We had a great cruise that was an excellent value with room, dining, entertainment, a beautiful port and a great view from our balcony.
Embarkation

Valet parking is worth the price. You drop off your car and luggage steps away from the terminal.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

We love My Time Dining in the main dining room. We had a table for two with a great view. The menu was varied and the food was tasty. The service was excellent!

Entertainment
5 out of 5
The entertainment was excellent. The headliner was Travis Coker who played the leading role in the Broadway hit, “Jersey Boys.” The ship’s orchestra and performers were great. We loved the comedians but first time cruisers should beware that the late night adult comedy can be very risqué. The other entertainers around the ship offered varied options for every taste, the venues more intimate and very entertaining. It was big ship entertainment on a mid-sized ship.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Our waiters in My Time Dining, the main dining room for breakfast and the Windjammer provided excellent service. The room steward was attentive, courteous and professional. I am always impressed by the crew, seen and behind the scenes, on RCCL ships.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Although the Brilliance of the Seas lacks the same amenities as the mega ships it’s ambiance is superior. The public places were clean and comfortable. For an 18 year old ship it is well maintained and has a “patina” and intimacy that I prefer to the larger ships. There is also excellent art work displayed throughout the ship that is well curated.
Cabin / Stateroom

Our Owner’s Suite was spacious with different areas to dine in, read, or relax with my wife. It was well maintained. The balcony was OK and a great place to have breakfast in the morning. The suite was also very quiet and only one deck away from the Windjammer and a few decks down to the main dining rooms.
Ship tip
This ship does not have a water park built on top of it, thank goodness! Enjoy the ship for what it is, a classic beauty with plenty of options for the young and young at heart.
My wife and I love visiting Cozumel. The people are friendly and we feel safe even as we explore area beyond the main tourist area. The street vendors might seem a little aggressive but a no thank you is the best way to respond if you are not interested. I love visiting the San Miguel Church and the surrounding areas with shops, restaurants and a park.
It was easy to disembark. Use the services of a porter as they have a separate line through customs. If you used the port’s valet parking he’ll take you directly to where you pick up your car.
Absolutely love your review. My husband and I are going to be on her in 1 year for our 10 year anniversary without the children. I love the tip about valet. Thank you.
