Room for improvement by mkatz1

Cabin was very nice. Very good lay out and the bathroom was outstanding. To be a 5 star, they should have had high end amenities for my wife in the bathroom, RC coffee mugs, and updated information because we read in the brochure that the OS has vip pool access, theater vip seating none of which was available.

Cleanliness wasn't an issues and size as noted previously was smaller than other owner suites we have travel in.

Wonderful cruise on this older ship by ullamist

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Brilliance of the Seas / Destination: Transatlantic

We stayed in an owner's suite--first time ever in such a swanky suite. (Heavily discounted since this was an older ship and a transatlantic cruise). My husband & I both thought it was a bit "much"--never used the 4 person dining room table except for putting things on it as we walked in the room. The suite was gorgeous--but on rough sea days there were several drawers that opened and closed as the ship rolled back and forth. Also the mirrored closet doors slammed open and close with the waves so we ended up using the dining room chairs to keep the closet doors closed. Plenty of storage space--no USB ports. The "marble" floor in the bathroom was cold and slippery when wet and there was a step down from the bathroom to the "marble" floor of the hallway which was treacherous at night. The bathroom was huge and had a bidet (didn't know how to use it, lol) and a large tub with jets. What I didn't like was how small the balcony was--there was only room for a small table and 2 chairs--no lounge chairs. Next time we feel like splurging will get a smaller room with a larger balcony. We felt that access to the concierge club made the cost of the suite "worth it". The concierge club had free adult beverages from 4:30-7:30 daily as well as a concierge, Fabio, who was probably the best cruise ship employee we have ever come across. He made it a point to get to know every suite guest personally and solved problems left and right with efficiency and grace. During the cruise we found out my elderly mother in law got Covid and Fabio arranged for us to call her to make sure she was OK when the internet/cell coverage did not permit us to reach her. The concierge club also was the location of the best coffee machine on the ship (the reputation of the coffee machine was legendary and there were loads of folks trying to sneak into the club to get coffee). The pre dinner snacks were pretty good, also.

A beautiful classic ship and a great cruise! by ProfBif

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Brilliance of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Our Owner’s Suite was spacious with different areas to dine in, read, or relax with my wife. It was well maintained. The balcony was OK and a great place to have breakfast in the morning. The suite was also very quiet and only one deck away from the Windjammer and a few decks down to the main dining rooms.
