The biggest tip I can give is not to take this cruise! Although we cruised with Royal Caribbean one other time and had a wonderful experience, this cruise really swayed our opinion in a negative manner on the brand. We will be sticking with Disney and Norwegian from now on!

If you want a stress free vacation, fly to Bermuda. And if you are older, disabled or have trouble getting around, Anthem of the Seas is not for you.

FANTASTIC SHIP

Definitely book your dinning and shows in advanced, I tried to book it the first day on the ship but that was too late, some shows were all reserved so we missed out, and the only fine dining time slots left were after 8pm. Try to use a credit card instead of cash avoid long check out lines.

Sign up on line for as much as you can

I would never sail on Royal Caribbean again. I have sailed with Norwegian and Carnival, paid far less and enjoyed my time much more.

You need to book your activities ahead of time. Can be done with iPad at customer services

Don't wait or procrastinate any longer, get on that ship and you will have a blast of a cruise.

The wash area going into the windjammer is filthy. Avoid it.

the My Time Dining rooms are really good--you may not need to try the specialty dining

If you are on a 7 or 9 day cruise then go with the flow. What i found most try to do is : Handful of cruisers do as much as they can on the 1st 2 days at Sea and they end up burning them selves out in the last 2 days of the trip from our conversations with others. Its a vacation not a sprint to do as much as you can- then before you know it, you need another vacation on top of the prior vacation. No Big tips here. I can only speak thru our experience and we had a very good time. Perhaps it was the time of the year we went. Near the end of August and we expected to see more kids but not as much as we thought since most colleges are in full swing and kids are about to go back to school ?

Don't! Too many people. Every activity, including shows that you had reservations for, were mobbed ; had to line up like cattle, at the doors at least an hour before showtime.

Get to the solarium early to get chairs

Make NorthStar reservations as soon as you get on ship. Get the punch cards for drinks, you save alot of money. There is a coffee, beer pint and mixed drink punch cards for a set low price. The beer buckets are a good deal too. Eat in the Windjammer early to avoid the breakfast crowd in the morning, it will be easier to get a table for two.
