A good Cruise by Ah1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

We had sailed on a previous Royal Carribean Ship and were not impressed, the Adventure of the Sea redeemed the Royal Carribean Line. The Crew absolutely made the trip. They were friendly and helpful and happy. The food was just so-so but our waiter and assistant made it good. The cleanliness of the ship was poor and not really addressed even after the complaint.

Good Cruise by Ah1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

The ship is beautiful, it is well laid out and can handle the amount of people it carries. The food is just OK but the wait staff is excellent, they try to compensate for the lack of variety on the menu. The ports are great and the time spent in each port is enough to see all you need to see. The cablin size is good but the cleanliness is poor.

Another Ten! by EleanorK

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

This is the second time on this particuler ship. Both experiences were wonderful. We appreciate the relaxing atmosphere. We also love the Windjammer and being able to use it as an alternative dining spot. Although I felt that our first sailing on this ship(2004) the Windjammer selection was more robust I think this is a valuable assest. The beverage package was great as was the wine package, althought we found that some of our selections had run out mid cruise. Need to include non caffine diet soda at all bars. We had trouble with some of the bars (solarium in particular) not being very accommodating in getting a Diet Sprite.

A dream of a life time by ElaineN3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

I had a fabulous time on the cruise. This was my first time and I am definitely hooked. I felt so spoiled to be able to have someone attending to my room everyday and to have the waiters attentive to my every need. The shows were fabulous and the food was the best I ever had. The only dissapoining this was we did not know that when we ordered drinks on our SeaPass that you would add on a gratuity so we were giving a gratuity to our waiter or whomever when we ordered it. Therefore there was double tipping done. We are generous tippers so someone got a huge reward.

Another Wonderful Cruise by LisaR14

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

This was our second experience on Adventure of the Seas...the first was in January 2004, when the ship was only a couple of years old. The ship is showing a few signs of aging, but overall, the staff and crew have continued to make the cruise experience one of the best ever. This is our fifth cruise...the fourth with Royal Caribbean and we will not cruise with any other cruise line. I would recommend that if you do plan on cruising occasionally, that you sign up with the Crown and Anchor Society...it's basically Royal Caribbean's frequent cruiser program. Some of the advantages of joining: (after five cruises) priority check-in, private disembarkation lounge, special coupon books, private captain's functions. These are the touches that make the cruise experience even more special. Another recommendation is to get on the ship as soon as possible. The cruise line usually suggests 2 p.m. as the embarkation time. However, we have arrived as early as 1 p.m. and have been immediately checked in and had the opportunity to explore the ship. As soon as you arrive, you should purchase your wine packages (a great discount if you plan on driniking wine with dinner every night), soda packages (just check to make sure what sodas will be available; some non-caffeine diet sodas are not readily available), make reservations at the specialty restaurant (make these as soon as possible, you can always cancel 24 hours prior to the reservation if you change your mind), make any special requests of your cabin steward (requested a feather pillow and received it immediately--what a surprise). Our favorite service on the Adventure is the open air Solarium. This is an adults-only swimming and hot tub area. On some of the other Voyager class ships, the solarium is not open-air, so you are not able to get in sun on your days at sea. But the Adventure is open air, which allows you to get all the sun you need as well as some peace and quiet from the hustle and bustle of the other pool areas. The spa facilities are first-class...every imaginable service available. The only con of this cruise experience: when we purchased the soda package we asked if there was a non-caffiene diet option available; we were assured that that was the case. However, it was frequently difficult to get the bar staff to accommodate our needs. Once you find a bar that is willing to fulfill your request, you will return again and again to that location just to avoid the frustration with the other bar areas. Overall, this was another wonderful cruise and we plan to cruise again next winter.

A wonderful cruise by KathyK9

This is the first time we have cruised with Royal Caribbean and were very pleased. Although the size of the ship was massive, the individual care we received was like being on a small, very exclusive ship. With over 3,000 passengers, you still were made to feel as if you were the only one of a few.

Overall, the boat was great. There was something to do for everyone on board. It was clean, the food was good, and the service was outstanding. I would go on the same ship again.

Warm and Beautiful by TerriV2

FANTASTIC!!! If you want to be pampered, fed 24/7 and just relax, book a trip immediately! Take my advice and visit the pool and hot tub areas after the main seating for dinner----much less hectic and quiet. My husband and I have cruised with Carnival, Norwegian and Royal Caribbean in the past and we have to give the gold star to Royal Caribbean. We just like the feeling while on board and the people are super! We're already planning our next adventure----maybe to Europe this time.

We have sailed with Celebrity in the past and would probably go back to them just because of the size, personal attention and staff.

Cruising the Southern Caribbean by JimA16

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

Overall we had a wonderful cruise. We cruised the southern caribbean to Aruba on RCCL's the Aventure of the Seas. This is our second cruise on this class of ship and we have enjoyed both trips. There is much to do for people of all ages and interests. Despite it's size you really don't feel that crowded.

very relaxing cruise by BobY2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

I've cruised on 4 different cruise lines because I like to vary the ports. I was hesitant about such a large hsip as I want to relax on vacation. You would never know there were so many people on board nor would you know htere were about 50 kids. There is plenty to do on the ship but fortunately, they don't announce each activity with the speakers. You need to read the daily planner if you intend to take advantage of these activities. The ship is very clean as were the bathrooms. The coffee shop is a nice touch. The staff were far friendleir on this ship with a smile and a hello all the time. I do wish they had a bigger sports bar & larger TV's in it.

Best cruise! Love Royle Caribbean by VickiH4

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

Royal Caribbean to us is the Best of the Best. Have been on other cruise lines and this was the 2nd time with Royle Caribbean and it all came back to why we love them. Just like the first cruise. We loved every part of the ship from the ports of call to the Dining room to are stateroom. We had a room at the front of the ship which was Great. Would ask for one on the next cruise. The people that work for Royal Caribbean treat you like part of their family. Can't wait to book the next cruise.
