Disappointed by jjoquin

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Royal Princess / Destination: Europe - Western Europe

I most likely will not cruise on Princess again. The overall experience did not come close to our experiences on Celebrity, Norwegian, and others. Also, we was able to save over $500 each for the 4 of us by booking similar excursions offered on line by Viator and others.

Sneek Preview of Venice Ports by ctmd0311

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Norwegian Star / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

Overall , great ports and service. I would love to have more time in Croatia. Shows are ok , not a lot of variety after the main shows. Love the Asian night - hopefully more over asian will be served like- korean , vietnamese and filipino dishes. Will suggest smaller portions but flavorful and less salty for guest to enjoy.

My 1st cruise by Jruth28

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Norwegian Star / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

This was my first cruise ever and I really enjoyed myself. I’m 28, single, w/ no children. I came on the cruise with my 2 sisters, their 3 kids (12-17), our mother, and my best friend. Not the best cruise for small children or kids who live in the pool since there is only 1 and it’s small. Visited every port except Dubrovnik. I will suggest that you have a plan for each port but no pre-paid excursions or tours. Time constraints can make previously planned and pre-paid events difficult to attend. Also, biggest cost was on transportation in each port. Traveling in a group, with proper negotiation skills, can bring down the price. My sister was almost stranded in Dubrovnik with a large group of other cruise passengers so pay attention to your time. Go in off season and it will be more enjoyable. Overall I had a great experience.

British Isles by arladeane

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Royal Princess / Destination: Europe - Western Europe

Princess needs to computerize their system for bar charges! The waiter simply writes your folio number on the ticket. If the number isn’t written clearly or is entered incorrectly you get charged for someone else’s drinks. Fortunately for us it only happened for two drinks someone else ordered. We were charged for their drinks! We complained to guest services but were not compensated.

Worst Cruise Ever by keilah48830680

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Preziosa / Destination: Europe - Northern Europe

MSC was the worst, hands down, cruise line I have ever been on. Very boring ship, not much do except spa and casino. Spa was a horrible facial, which very little done, the product being placed on the floor because it was it was a massage girl. Maybe she didn't know how to give a facial. When she put a mask on, she just left the room. No hand, foot, or scalp massage. When I left, I didn't feel like I had the one moisturizer and two drops of eye cream on my face. I had purchased an eye cream at the shops. They had given me a free sample and by the time I got to the room I had a reaction. When I went to return the unused/unopened product, the salesperson called me a liar. No sports, very sketchy day program with little to do. Felt like they were more focused on the children programs the parents had to pay for. We paid for ever drink except coffee, tea and the "fruit juice" in the morning. The shows were mediocre at best. I didn't feel any connection to any of the staff. Then when we went to talk to a cruise consultant, thinking if we went on a different ship, we could give them another shot, she literally told us "I don't have time to look up cruises for you, figure your cruise out and let me know when one you want." When we went back, she was being rude and disrespectful to another cruiser telling them basically she didn't have time for them, and they also needed to figure out exactly what they want before talking to her because she wasn't there for that. When we got her response, it didn't count our level, our credits or any incentives to get us back. This cruise was a nightmare.

Great Itinerary ... Average Ship Experience by bp74001453

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Serenade of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Northern Europe

The Royal Caribbean staff seemed to lack enthusiasm so service was just so-so. The itinerary was excellent, though I would have preferred one overnight in St. Petersburg ... even if it meant skipping Estonia. The ship was very nice and well laid out. Phone support from Royal Caribbean prior to the cruise was very unpleasant. Their marketing tactics to sell beverage packages was misleading at best and lacked integrity in my opinion.

Perhaps the best all around cruise we have ever taken. Everything was exceptional from the staff, crew, and ports of call.

Excellent by ishwarha1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Symphony of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our trip. We were impressed with the Symphony although we vacationed on the Harmony last year. There were more than enough activities on the ship to enjoy. From the entertainment to the food. If you cannot find something to do on this ship then there is something wrong with you and not the ship. Just remember to treat the workers the same way you will want to be treated.

Excellent Cruise by anitahari

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group

Excellent experience without any complaints. One critique however would be for more water stations ideally closer to the staterooms.

Wonderful ship, excellent crew, great staff, tours were all interesting. We were treated royally. Regent really knows how to treat its passengers. I've booked my next cruise with them already.

Good ship, good crew, bad company by Kirbyinfrance32

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Norwegian Breakaway / Destination: Europe - Northern Europe

Had the impression that Norwegian tried to squeeze every last cent possible out of the clients. Even had to pay for water. Had a free drink package and three specialty dinners free. . Cost me a ton of money in the end because tips were not included. Crazy expensive for things that were supposed to be free. Not really honest. I can also guarantee that those poor servers won’t see a penny of the tips I paid.

excellent for the most part, but a few irksome annoyances by wernertseng

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Norwegian Breakaway / Destination: Europe - Northern Europe

This was a good cruise for the most part. We've cruised many times, and for the first time they confiscated my power strip citing electrical/fire hazard. there are only 2 outlets in the room, we had to juggle all our devices throughout the entire trip. they also took away bottles of water we had in our luggage.

Fantastic cruise! by wendyks83

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Epic / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

Our cruise was filled with early days sightseeing. So much history. Found time to enjoy the entertainment on board and time for relaxing. Absolutely loved Barcelona and Italy. Would return. Note to travels pre-book all of your transfer to and from the ship. Taxi strike in Barcelona caught people off guard so some had to scramble to get from hotels to the ship.

Started Poorly- Ended Excellent by dyermanclubdoug

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Norwegian Star / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

Overall, this being our third NCL cruise with a family of ten,it was quite good,Having cruised on newer ships and being in the Haven we constantly compared and found things which fell short of our expectations,By our knowledge we got the service which should have been provided.Case in point,You didn't asked for comments of our Disembarkation.Thats where NCL stepped up and provide us with excellent service. They provided me with a wheel chair and guide to take me and my family to where you get the water taxi to our hotel. This helped all of us a lot.

The itinerary was the best part of the vacation. Not so good about the ship. Waited over an hour for breakfast. 2.5 hours for dinner missing the show, 1.5 hours in line for a tender, have to walk through smokey casino to get to the night club. by wrightglte

The ports of call would be the only reason I would go on this particular ship again.

Great ports, mediocre cruise ship by M4hj

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Koningsdam / Destination: Europe - Northern Europe

Ports were fabulous. Ship was not well-designed, rooms seem smaller than they are, even higher priced higher up rooms. Food was mediocre. Service was good though sometimes inconsistent.
