Review summary

I most likely will not cruise on Princess again. The overall experience did not come close to our experiences on Celebrity, Norwegian, and others. Also, we was able to save over $500 each for the 4 of us by booking similar excursions offered on line by Viator and others.

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Buffet food and dining room food about average. Service really poor in Symphony dining room. Every meal, every day, took at least 2 hours, causing us to miss the shows. Spoke with the supervisor and head waiter. The head waiter and his assistant had 9, yes 9, tables to serve, 2 of which were 8 tops, no sommelier. The staff could not serve us on a timely basis because of that. We have been on 4 other cruise lines, and never experienced.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
Disappointed with lack of activities, especially on port days. Did not feel any warmth from staff.

Entertainment

2 out of 5
lots of various entertainment, but none for Latinos with exception of next to last night with a DJ. Lots of ballroom dancing, but no Latin. Also, there were several times when we could not dance because of the little children running over the dance floor with their parents watching on with smiles. I get it, I have grandchildren, but I know when to "reign" them in.

Thanks lazyboy, no title on Shipmate app. Now I see why very limited Latino music, wrong cruise for that.

Ray, British Isles according to the title.

Hmmm last several times I was on the Mexican cruises, we had Los Tres Brillantes, great Mexican music that folks of all racial backgrounds were dancing to. Since you have not said which venue you were on, it is hard to say why the focus for entertainment was not Spanish, Mexican, or other Central/South American variety.

Hey, I just wanted to respond and balance your review a little for everyone else, not discounting your opinions. Symphony is an anytime room which generally has lesser service. My experience in allegro was 2 waiters for 3 tables a 4 top a 2 top and an 8 top. Cruise ship dinners generally take about 2 hours and that is to be expected. To the entertainment there was music by request almost every night in club six from 10pm on which has no kids. Agree with your point in Port days, if you are staying on the boat there isn't much to do if your not at the buffet.
