Great cruise-good ports,excellent crew by MichaelK4

Sail date: /
Ship: Norwegian Jade / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

Ship was large, but didn't seem crowded. Crew, service were excellent. For price-entertainment and food were very good. Cabin was good. Hawaiian decor was fine-did not bother anyone. Not too many announcements. Passengers were treated with respect-no "attitude" issues with crew/staff. Everyone was anxious to please. Open dining and service in restaurants was very good. We have sailed Celebrity often, Costa long Indian Ocean Cruise and now Norwegian. Norwegian exceeded Costa and as good as Celebrity, except for food quality choices, but Open Dining made up for it.

Best Vacation Ever! by JenniferD10

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Adventure of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

The ship was incredible. We had a wonderful time during the three port excursions, but were happy to have one full day at sea to explore all of the ship's features that we hadn't seen. There was always something fun to do or someplace great to eat!

Best vacation in years by LindaG23

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Voyager of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

We had a wonderful time. The ship was beautiful, the weather was perfect, the food was excellent, the staff was so pleasant and accomodating. We enjoyed the ports of call and had time to see the sights and relax. I would recommend this cruise, and ship to anyone. We were very lucky, in that the seas were very calm so you didn't even feel like you were moving. If you didn't want to get dressed up for dinner you could always go to the buffet, there was always a wide selection. We paid for much of the extra's in advance, which I would recommend so it doesn't seem like the cost gets so high.

disappoinating norwegian cruise line by KapuP

Sail date: / Traveled as:
Ship: Norwegian Jade / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

first of all the food was just very bad. coffee served was awful. requested maitre de for vegetarian preparations. food served was cold and in spite of the fact that they had many indian cooks, the indian food served was unimaginative and very very bad. rice served was always cold. i did like the musical items on the ship, the jazz band and some of the vocalists were really good.

A very enjoyable experience by RichardR2

Sail date: /
Ship: Norwegian Jade / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

this was our first cruise with the norwegein line. We loved the suite in the back of the ship on deck 8. the service was excellent. We found the choices of free eating to be limited to only the dining rooms and the garden cafe. The other places had very limited menues. To play bingo you had to pay and were given many extra cost choices for more play. You could not get a free soda or drink any where on the boat. Even in the casino you had to pay for any beverage no matter how much money you gambled. You also did not get any free shuttles off the boat even if you only wanted to go to the port of call.

Would I go on RCL again? by JohnA10

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Voyager of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

Casino area has dealers that seemingly enjoy beating your hands at blackjack Slot payouts (%) should be posted like Las Vegas (I'm sure its low though) Gorgeous ship Photographers get alittle annoying (they can't accept "not interested") DEFINITELY DO NOT do the panoramic tour of Rome on Wednesday. We had 35 minutes actually off the bus....traffic nightmare Euro conversion should not be done on the ship

Great except for the internet dont get sucked into it and complain about the speed on day one so you dont get overcharged like we did. Otherwise, great cruise!!!

Enjoyable cruise by MartinW10711872

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Costa Concordia (RETIRED) 548 / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

The cabin was clean and comfortable. The staff handled the multitude of languages well; English was definitely the minority language but it wasn't a barrier to our enjoyment. We were concerned about smoking, but it wasn't an issue. I would definitely consider a cruise with Costa again.

A wonderful cruise by MariaY3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Gem / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

We liked the ports we visited, the food was ok, not as good as other cruiseline. We missed the personal touch with freestyle dining without a personal waiter/waitress.. There was no good place for dancing at night and poor entertainment for couples except at the bar. The theatres never had anything good showings......

A cruise into history by JanP2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Noordam / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

The maintenance of this ship was continuous and exceptional. The crew made every effort to please all those who sailed with them. The only distraction was the smoke that one encountered and could not avoid in parts of the ship.

Extreme Disappointment by FredaK

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Voyager of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

I doubt you will change your views on how you promote this cruise; but, to vent my frustration here is my opinion. When you promote this cruise you need to inform the customer of the downfalls; namely, the exorbitant fees associated with getting off at port, tour costs, cost of alocohol. Our group spent in excess of $4,000 extra dollars on tours, shuttle cost to land and other costs associated with non-covered costs. The food was so-so; and, the ship was quarantined because of the swine flu which broke out among the crew members. I feel misguided by your portrayal of the suitability of the cruise for our group and will not use your services in the future! Freda King

Would do it again! by KathyS21

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: MSC Splendida / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

We were on the MSC Splendida this past week. We loved the ship and the state rooms were wonderful. Food was average but we still managed to eat a lot of it. I tried to eat healthy and ordered the fish 3 times....but it let me down every time! Fishy fish! The pasta dishes were great as expected. Steak dinner was very good and the prawns...wow! Salads were just average. This is a Italian Cruise line so expect things to be very European. No coffee after breakfast. You will have to order it in one of the many lounges or pool side. They do have tea time several of the days from 3:45- 4:45. We would reccommend that you set up your own tours at the stops. Either do the double decker buses or get a taxi. The beach excurisions in Sicily and Tunisa were bad. LOVED Malta! We took the bus tour that was right there at the dock. It took 3 hours to go all around the island. Well worth it! Most of the shows were very good, talented entertainment. Singers were fair. Have Fun!
