Review summary

The ship was incredible. We had a wonderful time during the three port excursions, but were happy to have one full day at sea to explore all of the ship's features that we hadn't seen. There was always something fun to do or someplace great to eat!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The windjammer sometimes had too many fried food options, and the only other options were soup or salad. However, the dining room food was unbelievably good! At every meal, we had a hard time deciding which dishes to eat because they all looked so good, and they tasted even better.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Some activities were only offered during port excursions, so we were unable to attend those and would have liked to attend them otherwise. My friend and I attended the live latin music and the disco every night, went to the 70's party in the promenade, and listened to the calypso music by the pool as well. These were all very enjoyable.

Service and Staff

We couldn't believe how friendly EVERYONE was! Many of the staff knew us by name by the second night, and were extremely helpful with any questions we had.

Ports of call

Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy

5 out of 5
We took the shore excursion for Rome and learned a great deal from the tour guides. They gave us free time at many of the sites. Unfortunately there wasn't nearly enough time to see all that Rome has to offer in one day. We missed out on the Coliseum and the Sistine Chapel, and we only had time to stop by St. Peter's Basilica (the line was too long for us to get to the Dome).
Don't Miss: Trevi Fountain was beautiful!

Livorno (Florence & Pisa), Italy

5 out of 5
We didn't take the shore excursion for this. We met up with a few other cruise-goers and took a taxi to both cities for a very reasonable fare. We didn't get to spend too much time in each city but still enjoyed the cities very much.
Don't Miss: the view from piazza di michaelangelo (I think that's the correct name): most beautiful view of the entire city of Firenze!

Pros: The ship's amenities, friendly staff, food!
