Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The variety was very good, convenient and Portofino is DEFINITELY worth the extra $ 20 per person... I simply cannot understand why the waiters assistant insisted in personally handing out bread by hand instead of simply leaving the bread on the table for us to chose.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
With brief exceptions the shows were lackluster and unimaginative.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Friendly and somewhat helpful but never going "above and beyond".

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Needs new carpets, painting some rust on exterior, decor is dated.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
I had a balcony w/ seaview and it was still too small. Buy the largest stateroom you can its worth it. Even thought you may think you'lll only spend little time in it - you just dont want to feel like your in you closet.

Ports of call

Livorno (Florence & Pisa), Italy

3 out of 5
Florence and Pisa - they gav us 50 minutes at Pisa - thats all thats needed. Florence is amazing - gorgeous architecture. They herd you to a leather gift shop and theres a LONG line to go to the public rest room.
Don't Miss: Ponte Vecchio - spend hours just window browsing.

Villefranche-Sur-Mer, France

5 out of 5
One of the prettiest towns / natural coves ever. Beautiful beach. Exhilirating road trip to Monaco / MonteCarlo.
Don't Miss: Changing of the guard at the princes palace and the gardens next to oceonagraphic museum

Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy

5 out of 5
Long day but worth it - the Vatican is jaw dropping. So much detail but again - your herded thru w/ thousands of other tourists and it can get hot and sweaty. You dont have time to truly take it all in - basically its "a taste" of Rome.
Don't Miss: The Sistine chapel

Toulon, France

3 out of 5
Get to Mont Franc cable car behind the train station and go up - its only 6 Euros and theres a decent restaurant at the top. Buy wine and cheese at the grocery store and have a picnic.
Don't Miss: Dont forget - Barcelona - must see "Las Ramblas" and drink wine and cheese in Plaza San Miguel.

Naples, Italy

5 out of 5
The Amalfi drive and Sorrento were "breathtakingly BEAUTIFUL". The drive itself is worth the money - but watch the tour guide - she herds you to a family owned gift shp when u get to Sorrento and they give you a 10 min HARD sell on marquetry gifts.
Don't Miss: Dont stay in Naples. Go to Amalfi

Pros: The excursions to Amalfi and Rome

Cons: So much "herding" us through the historic sites.
