the worst cruise we ever had! by Phcs

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Jade / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

Terrible services!  My wife suffered food poisoning since day one and the management did  not responded after ccomplaint.  The 2nd complaint days later was acused by an assistant manager that was not their reponsibily and grabbed my wife's shirt and said " i can escort you to see a doctor but you have to pay for it."The restaurants were in slow service: ignored us without even offering water while 4 staffs chatting nearby and ignored us for 15 minutes.  The excursions wewr extremely expensive and not worthy (The lunch included only had pork which mmy wife is allergic to and the service manager said rudely you get what's available.  The ceilings are extremely low so that you always feel cramed and not relaxed!

Great first cruise! by jaymbiv

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Constellation / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

This happened to be my first cruise so I wasn't sure what to expect.  The service and employees were amazing.  The shows were okay, most of them being just entertaining.  Ancillary activities on the ship were fun and kept passengers busy during the days at sea.  Food aboard the ship was delicious.  They served almost every cuisine except for Spanish/Mexican food.  The destination stops were amazing.  You got just enough time to wet your appetite and I would like to definitely go back to spend extended amounts of time.  On-shore excursions were over priced through the cruise.  We were able to research more economical tour services for our destinations through local businesses.  The drink packages were slightly over priced as well.  We felt like we got our money's worth but we drank more than usual in order to achieve that value.  I would pass on the drink package if I had to do it again.  Finally, the stateroom attendants were incredible.  I would highly recommend this particular cruise and Celebrity Cruise Line but make sure you do your homework first.

The best yet by peterevans43342

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Constellation / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

Yes the Constellation is a great ship. Yes the weather was just about perfect and Yes the itinerary was fantastic but it was the Captain and the crew which made it extraordinary. Everything that could be managed, food, entertainment, service  exceeded expectations. We have taken abut 20 cruises but this was the first with Celebrity. Celebrity will be our first choice in the future.

Very good cruise by cecilia225

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Eurodam / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

I enjoyed our cruise, the service and food was excellent. I felt that the cruise activities were more toward the retired individuals cruising, that being said 85% of the people there were over 65. Nothing wrong with that, for that age group I think that cruise was an amazing experience, for us younger group the cruise was still nice but it was not as lively as other cruises we have been on. The ports were amazing and we still had an awesome time.

Spring Fling around Italy by theforanfamily

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Jade / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

My wife and I recently returned from a seven-day cruise on the Norwegian Jade (April 18-25, 2015). We enjoyed our experience very much. Our inside cabin was small but comfortable and everything worked properly. Our cabin steward always had it prepared and we enjoyed the folded-towel animals each evening as well. Food aboard the ship was good in the buffet restaurant, Asian restaurant, and the two main dining rooms. Service in the main dining rooms and the Asian restaurant was good also. The activities were quite well organized and enjoyable, and the cruise itinerary offered one delightful location after the next. All of our shore excursions were very good, and we were quite lucky with the weather as well. I would rate the ship and its crew on a par with Royal Caribbean, and it's overall ambience superior to that of Carnival. Celebrity is perhaps a half notch above NCL,  but for this trip, the choice of dates and itinerary made the difference in our choice of cruise. We were very pleased with NCL and the Norwegian Jade.

EXCELLENT CRUISE!!! by michaelsmith492

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Seabourn Sojourn / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

Definitely the best experience I've ever had. It was so well thought out and so many beautiful stops it is honestly hard to process everything. This is definitely an older cruise so know this before you embark on this but I found it great even though I am young. HIGHLY recommended.

Family Vacation by nanmui

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Norwegian Jade / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

This was a family vacation for us. We have cruised with Norwegian before but this was by far the best cruise we have had with this line. The cruise staff was fun, friendly, they made us feel like part of their family.

Rude and unhelpful staff by Traveller111

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Costa Fortuna / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

I will never cruise on Costa again.  The staff was unhelpful and rude.  Although they published that the aft pool was "adults only", it (and the entire ship)  was always full of screaming children.  Staff laughed and made no attempt to control this.   We never knew which elevators would be closed for the use of crew transporting luggage at every port, or which other elevators were open.  The ship was difficult to navigate compared to other lines.  The only dinner option was a 2-hour dining room visit at which we were rudely refused water without a 3 euro payment.  The safe could not be accessed by both myself and my friend - only one of us.  The drawer pulls were difficult with arthritic hands.  Now, I see pending charges on my credit card that should not be there.  My previous experiences with Royal Caribbean were excellent -  the opposite of Costa.

Zuiderdam Adriatic by rmasino

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Zuiderdam / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

As always, we were not disappointed.  Holland America is a quality cruise line and this is our 4th time on the Zuiderdam, a wonderful ship!  My only complaint - and I have this with most of the cruise lines anymore, except for Royal Carribbean - is the quality and selection of food.

I would not hesitate to recommend this ship to anyone.

Services by glen1234

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Sinfonia / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

All services on board was offered at the convenience of the cruise line, not the passengers.  If you do not take their excursions, getting off the boat is made more difficult.  Meals were offered at limited  and rigid  times and not convenient for those of us who like to go ashore on our own.  Will not take MSC again.

Worst Cruise Line Ever by ndizon189

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: MSC Magnifica / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

My husband, my kids and I used to go cruise 2 times per year. We tired many cruise lines like, Norwegian, Celebrity, Royal Caribean, Princes, and etc. We tried most of them, and we are very happy. We tried your MSC for the first but we are very disappointed. The boat is quite good, but, the Customer Service is the worst service I ever experience, all the staff do not speak Engish, they do not know even how to greet the guest .They never smile specially in the Front Desk and all the Manager had an attitude. The food are the same every single day, The worst food ever, there no presentations. The both manager in Quatro Viento Restaurant and other restaurant in 5th floor are so rude. We went to your cruise to celebrate my birthday, instead I will feel relax cursing, I got  a lot of stress in your boat. One of the thing that I do not like also, is your excursion is too short. We do not even have time to shop around. I will never ever recommend MSC Cruise Line to all the people that I know. it will be my first and last in your Cruise Line. It is the worst cruise line ever.

Excellent Personal Service by ambisson2000

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Costa neoRomantica / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

Crew were definitely attentive and personable.  Great leadership presence in all facilities. Dining experiences actually exceeded my expectations - main dining room was excellent.  Limited entertainment options.  Destinations and time in port were ideal.  Embarquement/disembarquement was very organized and well managed.  Will definitely cruise Costa again!

second rate at best by capttravis

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Jade / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

I have been on 3 Norweigian ships,,,the Star, the Sun, and now the Jade. I must say Jade was the best of the three but that's not saying much....food on their ships are second rate at best.  If their buffet, and some of the pay resturants were on land, they would be out of business in short time.  most local resturants anywhere I have traveled have better selection, and quality of food than Norweigian has. Bar service is predominately slow. Cabins are fine and ship was clean....two days we had no hot water in the morning.  I don't care what their chefs learned in culinary school they need to get some real people to show them how to cook some of the local favorites from different parts of the country.  On Jade the steak restaurant was  good as was the Brazilian  restaurant. But , all three ships I have been on were very lacking in the buffets. We have been on several HA ships as well as several of Carnival ships and find them better.

Underwhelmed with food by kelseykirby

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Jade / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

Ports of call were good, and the shore excursions were great!  It was the first cruise I've EVER been on where the food underwhelmed me in the main dining rooms.  Even the room service menu was underwhelming.  This was my 4th Norwegian cruise, but the food just wasn't great, and other guests were talking about it as well.  Staff was wonderful!  Service was great!  Cleanliness was superb.  Would think twice about repeating a cruise on this vessel.  Have been on several other cruise lines, and NEVER had an issue with food.  It's always been excellent.  The entertainment was top notch, and recommend the shore excursions.  The cruise was a wonderful experience, but the best food we had was when we went ashore and in a couple of the specialty restaurants.

Great Mediteranean cruise by larrybc

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Jade / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

i have been to Rome ,,,Naples...Athens ,,,, ephious two times before this trip

but never to istanbul ...... istanbul was fantastic so clean so many historic things to see and so many things to do

Norwegian jade  cruise ship was a extremely good experience

it had better entertainment than Celebrity and Holland America cruise lines and was very customer friendly with its ship lounge and activity areas it didnt have the upscale facilities of Celebrity or some other cruise lines like cloth towels in public restroom but who cares it have a more freindly layout and active and fun areas and great food if you do the specialty restaurants better than other cruise lines

only 2 negatives very small stateroom bathroom smallest i have had in 14 other cruises and very crowded buffet eating area probably because they offer more variety than other cruise line

other than that Norwegian jade cruise ship was super

Costa Diadema in March by ginomu1953

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Costa Diadema / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

Positives: New ship, clean and very good service from employees. All though sometimes look stress due to the ship taking passengers in every port.

The food very good. Lunch Buffet a lot of alternatives, beef, chicken, pasta,Chinese, great desserts. Dinners good and with alternatives just in case you didn't like the menu, but no dinner buffet.

Ports great with shuttles to go on your own. Ship with mostly European's not to many English speaking passengers. Overall a good cruise!

Great Cruise by rvi11a

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Norwegian Jade / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

We took this cruise with our two kids ages 4 and 7 and really enjoyed ourselves. This was our second time cruising with Norwegian. Our kids loved being at the Splash Academy and the staff there do a really great job with the kids. We highly recommend you get the dining and beverage package, it is worth it to dine at the specialty restaurants. We did not give this cruise 5 stars due to the entertainment being not what we expected. We thought the entertainment on our previous Norwegian cruise was better.

Awesome experience with a terrific crew. by ahorvat

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Norwegian Jade / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

The destinations for the cruise are amazing, with deep traditions and beautiful cultures.

The cruise itself was excellent. The crew was awesome from the kitchen staff, to the porters and the staff handling kid activities.

I highly recommend that you take the plunge and book a cruise on the Norwegian Jade.

health issues at the ship by victoriaeche

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Jade / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

Staff were coughing on the restaurant, therefore, passengers got sick. by the end of the cruise there were too many people coughing. We notice the AC ducts were not clean and rooms smell like dust were in the air. The carpet in hallways and rooms smell like dust too.

I got intoxicated with the food I ate at the last dinner on the cruise and like at 3am I woke up with my face swallow, my husband went with me to look for the doctor and the nurse told me if I was ready to pay $200 plus medicine, the doctor will see me. Even though I was like that because the food was bad, the people at the cruise took no responsibility of it or have any courtesy to evaluate what happened.

That ship with all the sick (coughing) staff and passengers shouldn't kept going straight from one trip to the next one without taking care of what was going on with the health of staff and passengers.
