Underwhelmed with food

Ports of call were good, and the shore excursions were great!  It was the first cruise I've EVER been on where the food underwhelmed me in the main dining rooms.  Even the room service menu was underwhelming.  This was my 4th Norwegian cruise, but the food just wasn't great, and other guests were talking about it as well.  Staff was wonderful!  Service was great!  Cleanliness was superb.  Would think twice about repeating a cruise on this vessel.  Have been on several other cruise lines, and NEVER had an issue with food.  It's always been excellent.  The entertainment was top notch, and recommend the shore excursions.  The cruise was a wonderful experience, but the best food we had was when we went ashore and in a couple of the specialty restaurants.

Ship Quality
Great ship!
Food and Dining
Underwhelmed with the food.
Service and Staff
Great service! "Washy-washy" and "coffee-coffee" guys were fabulous and worth the price of admission.
Varied and excellent entertainment.
Children's Programs n/a
Onboard Activities
Numerous and varied activities to choose from on board.
Destinations and Excursions
Destinations and excursions were really good.
Cabin / Stateroom
Wonderful cabin, and even greater room steward.
Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy
Spent 4 days in Rome before the cruise. Do not recommend visiting during Holy (Easter) week. It was wall to wall people everywhere we went.
Katakolon (Olympia), Greece
Piraeus (Athens), Greece
Needed more time here. SO much to see and take in.
Kusadasi (Ephesus), Turkey
Best meal of the trip was here. Ephesus was unbelievable. Had a great tour guide we hired when we arrived. Raymond did a great job taking us wherever we wanted to go.
Istanbul, Turkey
Went to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Grand Bazaar, and so much more. Beautiful architecture.
Naples, Italy
Don't miss the Amalfi Coast and the inlaid wood factory. The lemons and that industry were phenomenal. Needed much more time to just shop!

Don't miss "washy-washy" and "coffee-coffee" guys in the mornings in the Garden Café. They are a hoot!
