The itinerary was what I liked best. Most of the entertainment was excellent , especially the Beatles group and the house band. The cabin service  and dining service were also excellent

.

The aqua class restaurant Blu had a repetitive menu and overall I thought San Marco had better selections . Most starters and salads , soups and deserts were excellent . The steak was tough and only moderately tasty.

I encountered a problem at check in , our sea passes were not with the others ,after 10 minutes we were brought to another desk where I was told I had an additional $12.00 due but had to see guest relations desk .I did not need this useless delay after a long day of travel. When I asked what the charge was for ,and they did not know and had to call Miami .I went back the next  two days and they still did not know and credited my account the $ 12.00.

Another communications lapse occurred when I got Norovirus and saw the nurse ,  was given Imodium and  antibiotics and an elixir for cramps . and sent to my cabin . I felt fine in the morning and headed for the buffet for breakfast , our housekeeper spotted me and told me I was to stay in my cabin till released , hence missed best port of Ephesus . I was stuck with room service with a lousy menu ,best thing on it was a B L T, hardly cruise fare . The following day I go back to Guest Relations and ask if  there is any reimbursement for missed day  due to Norovirus outbreak ,told me there was no outbreak. There were 22 cases , 6 from  Blu , do the math .They were cleaning constantly pushing handcleaner at every venue. They said would send info to my cabin , when I got nothing I asked again , only to get nothing , then I asked when I would get It . They replied  tonight by 8pm. Went back at 8pm and was told it was on the way .Got it at about 830pm last night . It promised an unknown credit amount on a future cruise expiring in one year . Why should it expire and what is the amount?

The crew were outstanding except for guest relations and  nurse with lack of communication.

Having last sailed on the Eclipse I could not recommend the Constellation to others . I would tell them to go Solstice class.

Maximize the amount of area covered with in 14 days. All destination ports were enjoyable, however I would have liked a few more hours at each port.

Magnificent Mediterranean! by SBCable

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Eurodam / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

The best part of this cruise was the amazing ports of call. Each was unique and beautiful. The excursions we chose were for the most part very enjoyable.  The whole Mediterranean experience was an unforgettable one. We agree, however, that the Holland America cruise line leaves much to be desired. Cabin service was fine but food and service in the dining area was substandard. We would not recommend Holland America as cruise line of choice for Europe.

All the places are beautiful. I recommend more information about the ports before the cruise so people can take better decision about the tours that they are booking in advance.

I strongly recommend this cruise. Was amazing.

Fabulous Trip! by carolloan

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Eurodam / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

First of All, Thomas Houser of was fantastic to work with! He helped me navigate through all the choices, excursions, drink packages, etc. He has been to many places and shared stories good and bad. I really enjoyed working with him to make our trip special and affordable.

My husband and I went to celebrate our 40th anniversary with 2 other couples. We all chose Balcony rooms, while all were nice we chose to go to the back of the ship, deck 7 and were not disappointed. Our room was quite a bit larger as was our balcony than our friends. We were able to always have a view of all the ports with no obstruction and the wake as well. Room 7138. We had some beautiful sunsets to enjoy on our balcony as well. Only 1 or 2 nights did we notice movement but other than that we slept great. The service was wonderful from Tao & Moh our cabin boys as they handled everything and shared some creative towel anima  figures they made. The ship does not allow or have irons. They charge a fee either by piece or unlimited pressing of $55 though I called ahead and was told it was $44 for unlimited pressing. More for cleaning or laundry. The food was plentiful and too many choices though a couple nights The Dining Room was very slow as far as service. We ate at The Pinnacle Grill several nights and the food was delicious and service excellent. Be sure to check out the Cabanas to rent by the pool. When at sea they are $50 and at port only $30. All day which included champagne, water, fruit and a private server to bring anything at all you wanted. We would have reserved them more often but didn't know they were so reasonable.

We were on the Eurodam and for me the entertainment was good but the stage itself was lacking any style or excitement at all. It looked like a high school stage. They need to upgrade it and work on improvement of entertainment. I was expecting a more WOW Factor. Also, one note for any of you going to Venice. Do not book the Venice Gondola Excursions from anyone. I thought I was getting a really good deal until I found out the Gondolas directly charge 80 euros per boat which holds up to 6 people. I paid $49 per person through Shore Excursions and it was $89 through HAL. That would have saved us plenty.  Also, the WiFi took several minutes just to get on and if you didn't log off each time the clock keeps ticking. We finally complained as many others did and was given a credit. The WIFI on the ship is not free and doesn't work well at all. We did by the package that is 90 minutes for $55 but it was pretty bad. Wait until you are on shore and use free wifi at restaurants. Though we felt we were mostly with an older crowd (we are a young 60) we had a great time. We even took the Train to Rome and met a couple from the ship who knew Rome well and we walked all over to see the sights with them. It was great! Thanks Jim and Donna! So much to do on the ship with everyone so kind and helpful  I would definitely go again.

We had a good trip and the service was good, I believe they could have little better service with rooms and dining. No real complaints just nothing to brag about either.

Epic Vacation of a lifetime by belmat87

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Epic / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

We did a Back to Back Cruise on board the Epic, May 22nd and May 29th 2016 . We were celebrating my 50th birthday.  We had an extraordinary time!  We did about 12 cruises so far but this was our first time cruising to Europe and this is a perfect itinary!  Very glad we did it twice!  Every ports of call we enjoyed! Days in ports are very long and that is perfect, giving us plenty of time to go explore the sights ashore.  We loved leaving from Barcelona, which is a fabulous city.  The Epic  itself, we enjoyed very much!  We did the BreakAway and Getaway, and I would say,  the Epic is our favorite.  Lots of nook and crannies to find quiet place.  More space on deck.  But, I miss a bit the Promenade around the ship of the Getaway and BreakAway .  The "special" restroom situation was no problem for us being married for a long time!  But this could be awkard for new friends sharing the cabin.   Food was very good. We got the free  UDP when booking  and enjoyed a specialty restaurant every night. Service was very attentive and wonderful.  Our cabin steward was excellent and very nice to talk to. Lastly,  I want to say a big  thank you to Melissa Kaufman-Stolz our TA from Dream Vacations.   She went above and beyond for us.  She made extra sure to make me feel special  all cruise long for my birthday celebration.   Prior to the cruise, she also re-booked my cruise several times to make sure I had the best deal- price for my cruise. This is why I always book long time before sailing. No way to loose!  Also, she was always responding to my e-mails very quickly during the week or the weekend!   She was a big part of making  this trip a memory to last a lifetime and will forever be grateful. Thank you Melissa!   Anyone  looking for a TA , look no further, sit back , relax and enjoy Melissa's excellent service!   This trip is stamped in our heart as one of the most fun and exciting one we did so far!

I highly recommend it!  I would love to do same cruise  again and again!  Happy

Just a few quirks by nursethom

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Royal Princess / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

Our stay on the Royal Princess was memorable. There are a few glitches, but none to deter me from going again. First, the elevators close to quickly after opening. It's not an issue for me since I'm quick, however for the elderly, they tend to miss the door before they can walk over to it. Also, the tours tend to be a bit crowded. We found booking the small group tours better, although more expensive but worth it. Our suite was perfect as was our steward, Michael.

in general food was good except Asian food was bad, Chinese food ought to be prepared by native Chinese chef and not regular cruise chef. Concerto waiter Nicola and Humberto worked hard and very funny, it was a pleasure to have them as waiters.  Roger from the room attendant was very clean

Pleasantly Surprised by LuRich

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Jade / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

We travelled with two other couples, which made a big difference in our experience. We had fun and enjoyed the two whole days at sea.  Adriatic Sea was smooth as glass which was a big plus too.  The Norwegian Jade is a nice size ship, well-maintained, with a friendly crew.  We had the ultimate drinks package and the ultimate dining package. We did eat one night in a main dining room (Alizar) which was fine; ate breakfast and hung out on the back of deck 12 everyday - this was our rendezvous location.  The evening entertainment in the Stardust Theater was above average - particularly enjoyed the "Elements" show on Thursday night.

Shore Excursions - Dubrovnik - We did not book an organized tour.  We walked the wall that surrounds the old city.  The weather was fine.  Lots of good photo vistas.

Athens - Booked directly with PK Travel and had the BEST tour guide - Michael. Highly recommend the semi-private whole day tour.

Santorini - We booked a whole day tour (with winery and Oia) through .  It was better priced than the NCL offerings.  It was ok.  How much can you describe the volcanic activity that formed the island?  We walked down the donkey trail from Fira to the port - tip - take the donkey!  Walking took 30+ minutes and was semi-treacherous.  The line to the cable car was so long, we would have missed the ship.

Split - Just walked off the ship, and took a small tourist ride up to the top of the mount at Split - great vistas.  On the way back, the "tour" ends at the Diocletian Palace (which is a conglomerate of shops and restaurants). We probably should have explored more, but rain was threatening, so we returned to the ship (and the bar on Deck 12).

I would recommend this cruise.

Fun and relaxing cruise by AimeeElizabeth

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Vision of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

Just got back from Vision of the seas cruise to the Eastern Mediterranean. This was our first cruise and we really didn't know what to expect. We were a little nervous based on some previous reviews, but after the experience it was obvious that some people just like to complain about little things. The crew was fantastic and the excursions were equally as fantastic. The food was good. Maybe not 5 star restaurant quality at every meal and some were better than others, but we didn't care. This is not why you go on a cruise. I liked the boat decor. Yes, it wasn't 2016 up to date, but again we didn't care. The boat was clean and that was much more important. The only complaint I can even think of has to do with the chairs around the pool area. On at sea days, it was difficult to find a chair, but we figured it out and still had a great time. We really enjoyed our cruise and it was due to the crew and the itinerary.

Loved our Mediterranean cruise! by mikecartozzo

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Vision of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

We loved our Mediterranean cruise.  The staff was very friendly and helpful.  The food was great.  Our cabin was spacious and the ship was nice although a bit smaller than most other cruises I've been on.  We usually go to all the shows on cruise ships but we only went to one this time.  Our only real complaint was that the itinerary felt a little rushed.  As on most cruises, most port days are limited to only part of a single day so we always felt rushed to get off, see as much as we could and get back to the ship.  If you do excursions, you really don't have much time to see the town or port area once you get back from exploring.  But, overall we enjoyed the cruise very much.

Wonderful time on a well-kept ship by SeattleFamily

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Norwegian Jade / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

The itinerary was great, especially Santorini and Dubrovnik. The ship, though smaller than the mega cruise ships, was very well maintained and staffed. The staterooms were well-kept and made up quickly by the room steward each time we leave. The anytime dining food selection was diverse and well prepared, except all meat dishes were somewhat overcooked (not surprising given the mass preparation required.) However, the formal dining room service was not as personal or attentive when compared to my past cruise experience. I would definitely attribute that to the prepaid gratuity and anywhere dining option, since the wait staff had no incentive to be attentive and most did not appear enthusiastic in doing their work.

Overall, my family and I had a very time as first time cruisers on NCL and will very likely cruise with NCL again.

BEST CRUISE EVER! by paulneworleans

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple

This is a great Itinerary.  Every port is exciting in its own way...no feeling of filler/ad on ports like on some itineraries.  The celebrity Reflection is a modern and grand ship with all the extras you could want.

One of the very best cruises... by brunjo06

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Celebrity Reflection / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

Over the past 14 years I have taken 25 cruises with other lines, and although many were very good, none comes even close to this one.

This trip was A ONE from the very start. I was amazed at the ease, and speed, of the embarkation process. To illustrate this statement, immediately upon pulling up at the pier my companion and I were greeted by a Celebrity attendant. Told  that we needed assistance,  a wheelchair was available instantly. This may not seem a very important issue, but on other embarkations we had to sit and wait, at times over an hour, for such help. From then on things just kept getting better. Our cabin was large and well appointed. The cabin stuart, minutes after entering, introduced himself and went over all the amenities including assurance of help whenever needed. I found such courtesy and friendliness all over the ship. But the main dining room teem was even more outstanding. Besides excellent service, the head waiter offered valued information at each meal which made the dining experience  a plus. The food was good, so much so that I did not feel the need to make other dining choices. Both my companion and I felt that it "Could not get any better".

The only drawback was the excursion desk. I am sorry to give them a 3 out of a 10 scale, but those people were only interested in  selling an excursion, without caring if it was doable .  As my companion has an equilibrium issue, which makes walking on uneven ground as well as distance quite impossible, we went to the excursion desk to "discuss" possibilities for a tour in Rhodes and Santorini, and the agent tried to "push" tours in those places. Since I have been to Rhodes before, I knew that it involved a great deal of walking so I did not "fall" for any tours there. But I did for Santorini! However, upon checking with other passengers and finding out that this was even more arduous than Rhodes, I cancelled and was given a refund. The point I am trying to make is that those people will not offer any suggestions or help besides the product they wished to sell. I am not advocating using local tours, such as taxies, but at times those are a good solution. Also most places, Rhodes for instance, offer hop on/off tours which are very helpful if a person is interested in a "quick" and easy tour. It would have been helpful to know this!  As I indicated, this does not take away the fact that in my book  Celebrity is a great cruise line and I am totally "sold" on it. Hope who ever takes this rating as a guide for a contemplated vacation, will not be disappointed.

EXPECTED MORE ! by Cruiser51513033

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Celebrity Reflection / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

My favorite part was the places we visited the Greek Islands where superb I cant wait to get back, we hired scooters real cheap on shore and toured the islands went to little taverna's in secluded bays had fresh caught seafood, Greek salads and feta with lots of olives and stone ground homemade breads, the people are real friendly and the scenery perfect.

The ship itself was for me a bit of a let down and I know its a personal thing it was very different than the Celebrity Century, I found the ship to be too spread out and not as welcoming, the Martini bar was open to a walkway dancing was in the foyer so it clogged the areas up God forbid if there was ever an emergency on board with the need of a swift evacuation it would be total ciaos.

The food in the buffet was better than the main restaurant, but again constantly clogged, people wandering around looking for tables, it would be much better run had they had the same system they do in the evening where some one greets you upon entry asks how many in the party and escort them to a table, cant be that hard they did it on the Mariner of the Seas in the Buffet it was run like clockwork and that way more enjoyable to eat as you didn't end up walking around and around the dining tables looking for a space with everyone else like a load of cattle.

I can't say I actually enjoyed the cruise part at all, we are going back to do Italy and Greece in August with Norwegian so I hope that the ship is better set out, we are also going in a suite this time to see if that is what made being on the Celebrity Century such a good cruise.

We had a Concierge class balcony on the Reflection which is the same as normal balcony class with some wine on arrival evening canapes which where awful fresh fruit and a flower in your room.

I will look for smaller ships in the fleet to venture on Celebrity again,  one redeeming factor where the staff who where fantastic we met up with the boys in the Martin Bar from Indonesia who where on the Celebrity Century the first time we met them they made the evenings bearable, there was lots to do on the ship and the different areas where great but very disjointed.

I would not rate this ship as 5 star maybe a 4 star at a push.

Happy
