Review summary

This is a great Itinerary.  Every port is exciting in its own way...no feeling of filler/ad on ports like on some itineraries.  The celebrity Reflection is a modern and grand ship with all the extras you could want.

The only negative is that the door to the attendant's closet where they keep the cleaning supplies is located right next to the cabin door. They aren't very mindful of opening and closing that door quietly. It slams closed a lot starting early in the morning. Not really any earlier than you will be up and awake, so its not terrible. Much better than hearing things that go on above you (if you've had that experience before, i.e. carts rolling or people running). The room and balcony are nice, the balcony sticks out the furthest so you can look left and right without seeing into your neighbors balcony. Overall a good room.

Ports of call

Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy

Messina, Sicily

Messina isn't very exciting, take the train to Taormina, which is a really beautifully situated old town with plenty of shopping, restaurants, great views and more.

Mykonos, Greece

Rhodes, Greece

Rhodes was surprisingly exciting. I didnt expect much of it, its mostly an old ruin town....but it was beautiful, charming, lots to see and shop for and great places to eat.

Kusadasi (Ephesus), Turkey

In all fairness, we chose to stay onboard this day. We got off and wandered around for an hour or so, but didnt really do anything nice.

Santorini, Greece

Best port of the trip! Take the boat to OIA! Just about 15 or 20 minutes to the left. The most beautiful quintessential part of Greece! It gets busy there with very narrow walk ways, but the modern feel and views are unparalleled.

Piraeus (Athens), Greece

5 out of 5
Take the Hop on Hop Off Red bus and get a nice tour of the city with great views all the way to the Acropolis. This is the must see in Athens.

Naples, Italy

We opted to take the boat to Capri. A really incredible and beautiful city. I recommend this highly.

What do you recommend to do in Santorini and Mykinos? Any of the tours worth it?

Ok, enough already! I was jealous just seeing where you stopped. Must have been extraordinary. My wife is Greek, so have been to many of your stops, but loving cruising the way we do, will have to revisit it as you did!
