Will never use again by dagharmony

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Eclipse

My flight experience was horrible. I paid for a straight (one stop flight) from BWI to YVR. Instead, they had me leaving out of another state and returning to BWI. In addition, my one stop was switched to 2 stops with long layovers, which basically took two days to travel both ways with no sleep. Unacceptable !!! My dream vacation turned into a very disappointing trip and I plan on telling everyone about my experience on social media. The worst thing is is took NO accountability for the changes. Poor customer service!!!!!

World of Wonder…Words of Caution by DJWILSON

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Eclipse

I write this review with a heavy heart. Finally taking my BFF to Alaska aboard the Celebrity Eclipse, I hoped to recreate my last seventeen-day adventure there, if only the cruise portion and Victoria. Sadly, much has changed over the years. Ports of call, Icy Straits, Juneau and Ketchikan, for the most part resemble glorified cruise shop stores littered with jewelry store fronts, outnumbering local businesses ten to one. Gone are the days of locals intermingling with guests off the ships, proudly selling their handmade items they took pride in making. Now it's like Amsterdam, where nonlocals are hawking their wares to the highest bidder. I even ran into a vendor in Icy Straits, running a "Native Made" shop, who travels annually to my home state to purchase souvenirs at a Gatlinburg, Tenn. convention, made in China and elsewhere. Absolutely, the scenery was magnificent, the service and food outstanding, but little else comes to mind to warrant such a premium paid for the Retreat onboard the Celebrity Eclipse. Going with the highest rated cruise ship to visit the Hubbard Glacier as part of their inside passage itinerary, my goal was to expose my BFF to a brief glimpse of all Alaska had to offer. It did not go as well as I had expected. It's a stretch, but I would rather spend my money on scenic trains, the Kenai Peninsula and magnificent Denali before I would spend it on an inside passage cruise again. And again, I am sorry. It does not bode well to all those dedicated, hardworking individuals in the cruise industry. Hubbard Glacier was awe inspiring at a distance. Unfortunately, there were no excursions offered to us to sail up close to the glacier. Whale watching in Juneau was a treat, you betcha. We were blessed to see Humpback whales, sea lions and Orcas. Sadly, that was the only excursion i booked, based on an endless supply of five-star reviews. Ketchikan, it rained. It always rains. Why they stop there I do not know. If you dream to see Alaska, I suggest you plan a trip to its heartland, meet the hardy souls who call it home and make memories that will last a lifetime.

Amazing Alaskan Cruise by Cruiser21724022

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Solstice

This was a dream vacation for us. We were in awe of the nature all around us. Alaska is a beautiful place. We have already scheduled another one for next year. The staff on board were all so wonderful, from the cruise director Kelly to Jay our cabin steward. The wait staff in the dining room were also very good and fun and the food was very good. I am thankful the Janice, our travel agent, made the suggestions that she did. It was and absolutely wonderful trip.

Wonderful Cruise for Adventure by Notnuts

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Radiance of the Seas

It was the Alaskan Adventure we had hoped for. We were active, and not just lounging around. We enjoyed the activities at each port. We booked through Shore Excursion Group. We had great activities and wonderful, knowledgable, local guides. We had rain every day, with 93% humidity, 43-49 F degrees. That made it hard to enjoy the pool and outdoor ship activities.

Excellent Food by igubelius

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Norwegian Sun

Ship was great, food was great, staff was great, ports were great. Would probably cruise during a different time of the year if I did it again, as we literally saw 0 wildlife during the entire cruise. Would have liked more indoor activities during ship days, and missed having dress up nights.

Don’t Book This Cruise by OutdoorGal

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Quantum of the Seas

This was a repeat trip for me. First cruise to Alaska was Fabulous. I couldn’t wait for my husband to see all the gigantic glaciers, bears, whales, wildlife and experience the Alaska I saw the first time I was there. He basically saw ocean and trees ! Extremely disappointed in RC.

Alaska did not disappoint by Cruiser88426324

We had a grand time with our party of about 20 people. For several, it was their first cruise. For others, their first Alaska cruise. Nothing beats a cruise with a large group.

Alaska Cruise by Trixie106

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Quantum of the Seas

We traveled across country to go on this cruise. There was too much downtime. The days at sea activities were repetitive. Not the best dining experiences. Food was good, not fabulous. The staff and crew were all friendly.
