Review summary

My flight experience was horrible. I paid for a straight (one stop flight) from BWI to YVR. Instead, they had me leaving out of another state and returning to BWI. In addition, my one stop was switched to 2 stops with long layovers, which basically took two days to travel both ways with no sleep. Unacceptable !!! My dream vacation turned into a very disappointing trip and I plan on telling everyone about my experience on social media. The worst thing is is took NO accountability for the changes. Poor customer service!!!!!

would have liked more storage options. Stateroom attendant excellent.

Ship tip

Getting onto the boat took (4 hours) a cattle drive, use another port.

We always book flights directly through airlines. Same with hotels. We fly in at least one day before departure because airlines tend to change and cancel flights.

If you used Flights by Celebrity you can easily pick the flights you want. Any changes made after flights are book are done by the Airlines and not Celebrity.

Always fly in at least 1 day ahead. Thanks for sharing

I tell anyone, best to book flights directly with airlines regardless of travel plans. Any delays, missed connections, weather, upgrades, etc can be dealt with the carrier itself. Never do third party booking or basic economy fares.

Appreciate your feedback. Sorry the cruise line didnā€™t get your preferences when booking your flights. Iā€™m sure the blame game was ā€œthe other guyā€™s faultā€ no matter who you talk to. Iā€™m sad that you were unable to enjoy Alaska because of this.

Never book flights through the cruise line. The only thing you are guaranteed is a miserable experience.

PaulzyJC    1 year ago

Soooo, you give all the ports one star because you had a bad flight experience? That doesn't make any sense. How was the actual cruise?

I think you should be complaining on the airline website. Shipmate is for cruises!

Sorry your cruise was a disappointment.

Rookie mistake - never let the cruise line book your airfare!
