Could have been better Alaskan cruise by pastorbill61011

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Ovation of the Seas

It was an "ok" cruise but not exceptional. We cruise to enjoy the sights and relax and eat well. The closure of the Solarium Bistro was very disappointing. It is the healthy choice and for adults only. That was taken from us which in turn made everything else very crowded. We would have cancelled the cruise had we known the Solarium Bistro would be closed. Then to be told "thank you for understanding" was frustrating. We are the most "understanding" people in the world, but you took our money and did not provide what you promised and advertised.

Alaska is so beautiful, glaciers, icebergs, bears, whales, salmon. People were so friendly.

Wonderful 11-nt. Alaska Inside Passage Cruise by janmartin51

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Crown Princess

This was our third time to cruise to Alaska. We normally do the round-trip from San Francisco to give us extra cruise days. The cruise was wonderful, but we do wish we could’ve gone to Victoria instead of Prince Rupert as our final port.

See individual comments. It was a great family trip, but BCL could make it better.

Nice cruise by silecchio

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Ruby Princess

The dining was fantastic along with the service. Our room had no heater throughout the trip. I had a technician come to our room however he did not fix the problem. i had to wear a coat in the room. Cold air was being blown out of the vents. The staff on the boat are very professional.

Fun, good food. by CoJones

Cruise was great! Kids had a blast and our favorite bar was Schooner because of the friendly staff and music. Pizza open late was essential for us after port days. We also liked the music hall.

Relaxing Alaskan Cruise by JenniferMar

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Majestic Princess

I'd definitely take this cruise again, and I've already begun looking at more cruise options. The excursions were varied and offered a friendly, easy way to see places I would never have experienced previously. Once you learn your way around the ship, everything seems fairly easy and manageable. My shipmate's reservations did disappear after she boarded the ship, however, so ensure you check your app for everything selected pre-cruise. Staff was overall helpful setting up new reservations, so there was only one night when we couldn't all sit together at dinner. Weather for this cruise was perfection, other than being overcast so no Northern Lights. Temperatures on board and in port were very comfortable. Staff didn't make you feel like a burden and always had a smile.

Excellent Alaska cruise by Apodder

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Noordam

Holland is a very nice, classier, more understated cruiseline and we are here for it! Loved that they had wool blankets for you to use on the outside decks, served hot soup during the outdoor glacier viewing times, and had excellent service!

Amazing Alaska Cruise Experience by TiffanyN1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Bliss

This cruise (Alaska specifically) was a bucket list trip for us and we had not cruised in years so it was almost like a brand new experience. Norwegian was fantastic, well organized and I will definitely sail with them again. The staff, the ship, the activities, the excursions, the overall experience could not have been better.

Overall, the staff on the cruise is amazing. I particularly like Valerie. Very knowledgeable and friendly. The food is Average, but I still enjoyed the experience. The games and the wildlife talks were perfect.

Exceptional Cruise! by pwnstar000

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Eurodam

Loved every minute! We have found our preferred method of travel after cruising on the Eurodam. We are already planning to make the voyage again! If you have not been on a cruise or to Alaska, you need to add this trip to the top of your list.

We had a great time & everyone on the ship was friendly and helpful! by Banjo1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Eurodam

This was our first cruise so I can't compare it to anything. We had a great time! Just wished we could've had more time at some of the ports. Four hours isn't enough time to visit anywhere by the time you get off the boat and if you go on an excursion.

Great attempt at a wonderful cruise that falls just short. by JCMonroe

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Eurodam

Nice cruise on a somewhat tired ship. 4 of the ship hotubs were too small for anything more than 1 adult to fit comfortably. The jets on the hotubs were not properly aimed or serviced (shoots a lot of water in peoples faces so they cant really enjoy the jets when turned on).The crew was fantastic but the activities and entertainment seem geared towards a senior crowd. Nothing stays open past 1AM and left many younger passengers wandering the halls looking for a place to gather and share drinks and laughs. The Rolling Stone lounge was a missed opportunity to have the gathering place that would have made the cruise much for fun for the younger crowd. However, the cruise was saved by an AMAZING stateroom, great views and scenery of the cruise are, and amazing ports of call. Book if you're looking for a quiet and more reserved cruise and an early bedtime.

No fancy here by ShariBritton

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Luminosa

Overall, the ship is old, not fancy and should be retired. The food was low class and never hot, either in the dining room or the Ledo deck. Ledo food was limited times, not all day option. Spend the extra money to get a bit pampered.

The thrill is gone... by susanfromcalif

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Zaandam

You need to recapture whatever magic you had pre-pandemic. I loved everything about HAL and went cruising just to enjoy the whole ship experience. It's not the same, you no longer cater to adults, and I'm sorry.
