Loved the Hop on Hop off bus tour we took with the walk thru old town. Wish we had more time to get off at more than one location but happy we took that tour.

aviary was amazing. cab drivers are way too pushy. did not visit this port because of the cab drivers.

I have been to Cartagena three times in this life, in Winter and in Summer. The colonial walled city is very attractive and historically interesting, but the weather is ALWAYS hot and humid!!!

We did the colonial excursion but our guide was like a history teacher that you couldn't understand due to her accent and talking way too fast. I thought we were getting 1-2 hours of shopping but when it was broken up into 15 min. here and 30 minutes there by the time I got off the bus into a crowd of people and went to the bathroom, it was time to leave. She was not good giving clear directions either. Many people were confused.

I had read how hot it is in Cartagena, but thought being from the south we would be fine. Let me tell you, it is HOT! The port area is very cool and if we go back here one day, we would be fine with just staying at the port area for a couple hours.
