A: After doing research, the Aviary is inside the Port on Pier 3. It's called Port Oasis & Eco Park. There is a National Aviary much farther away.

A: Also, I recall there was a booth there that will Stamp your passport with a official Columbia stamp if you are into getting stamps.

A: How could we find the Aviary near the dock?We will be on Holland America Volendam. I also want to find the monkeys, macaws, etc., running around near the dock! Thanks.

A: I read on their website the Aviary shuttle is not available. Maybe it's a different Aviary! This one definitely was not within walking distance of the Port.

A: They had free shuttles to the aviary when I was there in Apiril 2022.

A: The shuttle is to get you from the dock to the outer part to exit to town.

Q: How long is the HOHO tour if you don’t hop off? Can you choose to not do the walking tour of the old city that is included?

A: We did the hop on/hop off tour in 2029 mainly because I was a little concerned about “Columbia”. I wish we would of got off and explored the walled city though. We will be there in two weeks while on another cruise. This time, will be exploring th... e walled city and fort. Can’t wait!See More

A: We were recently in Cartagena and my wife and I walked to town from the pier. After walking all around town exploring, we took a cab back to the ship as it was quite a bit warmer later in the day.

A: No, but the port has a great aviary just for cruisers. Approved cabs are there also. We took a private tour with Dora and highly recommend her. Blessed w!

A: Google Maps shows a 50 minute walk from the cruise port to the centro, or old town. We took a cab there and back and it was easy.
