Great port with a free zoo like experience and very nice shop. If you go to the Old City, be prepared for a traffic nightmare and the Old City has way too many pushy street sellers and they spoil the experience.

Excursion into the city would have been great except the street vendors are so aggressive and in-your-face. Could not enjoy the cultural aspects of this tour.

Were harassed by street vendors constantly. Hop on - Hop off bus not good. Just sat in traffic. Vendors prevented anyone from being able to hear guide or see any sites. Would not go back!

We weren't impressed with this port. Maybe it's just because we stayed within the port area. The city is old and unimpressive. Shopping, food and local folks...average

Too many aggressive vendors. Chocolate tour was fun, but, timing poor. Continuing your after chocolate making, resulted in one melted blob of chocolate!

We took a taxi from the terminal area and the driver took us shopping and on a short tour of the city. Traffic was really bad, and that slowed down our progress and ability to see more. I really enjoyed the shops and the variety of products in the stores in the Old City area. We bought Cuban cigars, coffee, a cute nativity set, and quite a bit more. This was my first trip to South America, so the shops were filled with goods that were new to me.

Did not feel safe that this port. Very aggressive street vendors. Skip this port an allow more time in the others.
