Review summary

First time on the Reflection and it was not as good as the Infinity or the Eclipse. Something seemed off and out of synch for the whole cruise. Not huge problems, but a lot of little ones that never happened on the other ships. Western Caribbean not as good as Eastern and Southern.

Embarkation

Smooth as silk. No troubles and very quick. Room was ready by 1:30 pm.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Dining room food not up to the same standard that we’ve had on other Celebrity ships like The Infinity and The Eclipse. Buffet was better than expected.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Pools were good except for the problem of people claiming chairs and leaving them unused for hours. Ships need to do a better job of controlling this problem.

Entertainment

4 out of 5

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Waiters were excellent. Our sommelier was terrible. Our room steward was not very aware of the obvious. We should not have to tell the room steward when we’re out of shampoo and toilet paper.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Always clean and liked the design of the ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We had a handicap cabin. Very roomy and accommodating.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

George Town, Grand Cayman

Very average Caribbean port. Recommend you do a tour.

Cartagena, Colombia

4 out of 5
Great port with a free zoo like experience and very nice shop. If you go to the Old City, be prepared for a traffic nightmare and the Old City has way too many pushy street sellers and they spoil the experience.

Colon, Panama

1 out of 5
Horrible port. Not sure why Celebrity docks here. Not good when the ship’s cruise director tells you it’s not safe to go past the gates.

Puerto Limon, Costa Rica

3 out of 5
The port itself is nothing. We did an excursion and would recommend that an excursion is a must at this port.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

4 out of 5
Very nice port, but a waste of time if there are three ships in port. Way too many people to enjoy the port.

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
Very clean and organized. Shopping is very good with affordable prices. Recommend the Chocolate, Tequila and Taco tour at Discover Mexico Park. Amazing tour that’s 100% wheelchair accessible.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Took longer than expected because of customs. But that’s a normal problem for all cruise ships.
