This cruise—ship, itinerary, staff, entertainment, stateroom—was so wonderful, I would do it again. And I hope I can in the near future. Eleven nights is the perfect length of cruise, and we got to visit so many places we’ve never been to before. It was as close to perfect as it can get without being absolutely perfect.

Cabin / Stateroom

Always spotless! Adequate size. Perfect bathroom with outstanding shower. Very comfortable bed. Very comfortable balcony chairs. My only complaint was that there were no power outlets next to the bed. I would have liked to use my phone as an alarm clock, and charge it at the same time. Otherwise, perfect.
Outstanding visit. Our excursion was to the Castillo and old town. Our guide was wonderful and we enjoyed the entire experience. We would have liked more time in the old town. Everyone took dollars also, which made it very convenient.
Our excursion took us to the AguaClara Gatun Locks visitor center. Highly recommended! We had a great time there and actually saw a ship going through the locks. Then to Portobello, which was a much more rural experience, we would probably not do again. Although we did buy 2 exquisite molas from some Cuna women there. And they did take dollars.
Our excursion took us to Tree of Life Wildlife Rescue center and Cahuita National Park. We loved both. Tree of Life was a fantastic place doing outstanding work for the animals. Our excursion guide was extremely knowledgeable about the National Park, and we got to see monkeys and sloths in the wild, after seeing some at the rescue center.
We bought an excursion to some ruins, but all the excursions were cancelled that day due to a protest by the taxi drivers. The buses could not leave the port area. But there is a lot to do in the port area, including a free pool, lots of shopping, and demonstrations by some Maya flyers. Hard to describe, but awesome to watch.
We didn’t do an excursion here, because we had done several on past visits. We just grabbed a taxi to downtown and spent several hours shopping, sightseeing, and having lunch on our own. Everyone took dollars so very convenient. Sadly the Museum was closed, so we’ll have to do that next time.
